Buck's Bikes has also been around forever; weren't they originally up in Round Rock? Anyway, they carry Giant and I can't remember what else. Giant has a light, inexpensive flat pedal that I like and I got mine there. Also, some of these shops carry inexpensive bikes and are more like neighborhood stores. Buck's is somewhat in the middle of a bike-shop desert.
They also used to have a store on Springdale just north of MLK.

The few times I went into either of the PB shops, they were totally void of customers and I always wondered what kept them open. I had no bad experience with them, just couldn't figure out how they stayed in business with no customers.
While we're on the subject about bike shops. Another shop that I never heard talked about is Bucks Bikes. I've been in the shop on 183 a few times and the same thing, the place was empty. No bad experience for me, it's just always made me wonder since I never hear anyone mention them.
They own the building.

I'll miss their cheap Shimano parts. I always thought the south store had a better selection of everything and was better organized and staffed. I usually walk out of the north store nifted for 1 reason or another. Obviously, I wouldn't let them touch any of my bikes.

Maybe they could be used as trail decoration somewhere ... after a Shinerider modification procedure is performed.
They have his name on them.

Nice JRA!. My pro stand is missing the pin and latch for some reason. I had an extra bolt I have in there that works fine, but it's bugging me.
All the replacement parts you need are available. Probably might find a whole used clamp assembly in good shape on ebay.

I wipe seals clean and lube them lightly with a little fork oil on a Qtip, keeps them happy. I do this before every ride, 2 minutes well spent.

Looks like the top of my tool box after I've been working on things. I'll clean and organize my tool box and within days it looks like that again. It's a phenomenon that happens in any working shop. Spent 25 years in body shops, any horizontal surface becomes a sh*t stacker. Including vehicles that stayed in one place too long.
It's a 2 or 3 day cycle that goes from spotless to crap back to spotless.

Heading up to Kansas City early tomorrow morning. Thinking about a picnic and a little All American to stretch out and hit the road again. Wish I had more time. Buddy that I'm visiting up in KC lives a mile from Swope Park, It's kind of the Walnut Creek of KC with a lot more climbing, probably 18-20 miles worth of trails built and maintained by the local club.

Read somewhere in a trade rag recently that ebikes accounted for 35% of bike sales in Europe last year. I'm all for them on the streets, trails not so much.
