  1. All depends on what your looking for.  The beginner loop(blue) is a good overall representation of what's out there.  The race loop(red) gets more technical and is a lot of fun.  Plus all the down hill lines, I enjoy hitting flow trial into Flodelo, then normally once down El Patron, and then new beginner line right there not sure if it has a name yet.

On my normal ride out there I'll hit the race loop out of the high fence gate.  Till it crosses the beginner loop after the creek crossing(going clockwise), then jump onto beginner, to decision point trail, turn left there.  Climb to the peak, then jump onto the rattler loop/Carozzo loop.  Follow that back around to you come back onto the beginner loop near the creek crossing.  Follow beginner all the way around to Flow, then Flodello. Then back onto the beginner loop, back up to the high fence.  That will be a good 17ish miles out there.  And lots of fun!

One thing I would mention is tat when you at the high fence gate, you can see across the valley on your left another ridge.  We get to play mostly between the ride you're currently standing on and that one.  So if you get turned around just keep heading down, till you get into the valley and find RPR trail.  It's marked in yellow, and is the yellow brick rode to get you back up to the high fence gate.  And if you are lucky enough there will be people at the range, and it's a great way to orientate yourself on the ranch.

    Have fun!!

  2. Please post some more details. This sounds like a 27.5" wheel fork with a 100x9 qr axle, straight steerer tube, and a post-mount brake. Please confirm that with photos or you're not going to get any useful offers.
What's stopping you from servicing this fork? Google is your friend here.
Yes I believe you are correct on all specs..
I think this is the new version of his original...

  3. I was doing some work on my nephew's bike and his front shock is super stiff it's an Sr Suntour part number: se14 xct ds mlo 27.5 100

Its off an older hardtail Haro so he doesn't want to spend too much money on a replacement ....

Do y'all have any used ones available or suggestions for replacement

    Thanks

  4. Both DD and 1/4 Notch are fun on ChamoisHagar. EtoW everything on 1/4 Notch is cleanable. WtoE Sponge Bob is tough because you can't slam into it the same way you can with a proper trail bike.  DD is actually more fun than 1/4 Notch on that bike because it's all or nothing with its tech. And you just have to go in knowing that you're going to dab a few more times than usual.
The biggest problem is keeping your tires from getting beat to shit.

The one time I followed somebody on Double Down that knew the trail better, I've only done it around 4 times, I did fairly well only had to get off bike couple times and did that big Boulder drop to root jump up..i think thats on dd.. we were going east to west.. the next time out by myself I went west to east and it seemed way harder

So is thumper harder than dd...where is thumper?

  7. Yes I just bought chainring and cassette to get coated in this...

    https://www.magnaplate.com/coatings/nedox

I should have them back in about a month... it's not something the company normally does this is more of an experiment but I think they are gonna come back real nice.

Thanks for the help yall..looks I'll just upgrade wheels, not sure to what yet, and cranks, probably go gx, at a later date I was just looking for other things to easily somewhat cheaply upgrade while I had everything off getting a new chainring cassette and derailleur and shifter put on

  8. Thanks guys and mack yes thats the bike...in green ....looks more dark od green in person.

I'm okay with the petal feel for now I'm just doing some upgrades to the drivetrain and was going to do that at the same time....Speaking of..

I would like the new wheel sets and bb to be compatible with the cassette and chain ring i am getting ... for the upgrade i got an NX cassette and GX chainring and I had them sent in to get a nickel coating...i also got gx shifter and derailleur...getting parts of those coated too..my buddy works for the company so got a deal...I'll start a different thread on that when I get them back

I guess first I need to see how these parts come back looking and ill go from there if they are good to go I would want to use them

  9. Been lurking site since mojo times and decided to slide in the mix..

I rode a '05 Gary fisher Marlin until this year and upgraded to a '20 Stumpjumper ST alloy base model back in April, love it..

    So here's my question..

I have some forward petal slack I want to take out and was wanting to upgraded the hub assuming that will fix it, but damn they make it confusing on compatibility...not sure if I can just replace a piece of the hub or get whole new one .

The stock rear hub is listed as:

    Specialized sealed cartridge bearing 12x148mm thru-axle, 32h

I would like to know what upgrade is available without having to change out wheel.

Oh and I got a sram powerspline bb and was curious on compatible upgrades for that as well

Thanks in advance for the help

    Danny
