Done!  I now have an e-bike from TJ's cycles!  Still need to replace the handle bars for some with sweep and rise, and that will happen Monday or  Tuesday, because that type of handlebar needs longer cabling.   Will take for a spin around the block in a few minutes.

The Specialized SL Vado can take up to a 2.1" mtn bike tire; right now it has 48mm tires -- some Specialized anti flat tires.

    Zoom zoom.

Do you mind me asking if you got a discount and how much? My Heckler was MSRP since it was brand new to market and I wanted to have it NOW.

    Haha, it was $7.2K

  2. Yes, there are NICE guitars that are branded Santa Cruz. Here is my newest and it is SWEEEEET!

    PRG DGT

Includes the "10 top" their best available wood for the top (obviously).

Is also a "Paul's Wood Library" guitar for the incredible flamed maple neck.

Has the best bird inlays and a bound neck. The fingerboard is incredible.

Been noodling around on the interwebs learning this and that about the Specialized Turbo Vado 2 6.0.  AI says "The maximum tire width that will fit on a Specialized Turbo Vado SL 2 6.0 is 56mm (or 2.2 inches).  Back in the day, that was considered on the wide side for MTB racing.

It has something called Future Shock in the head tube that provides a whopping 2 cm of travel!  Just enough to take the sting off.

    I like it.

  4. Some of us have less ability to ride than a lot of others have. I'll be 67 soon, and have some persistent issues from crashes, heart attacks, etc. My goal is to hold on to all riding as long as possible. My bike is a super light so smaller motor and battery, it's enough to let me ride most of where I had given up on.

I know, boo-hoo but the reason is real.

Man, If you are willing to drop 5 figures on a bike then does it matter?

Paying $7k for my Heckler SL was kinda shocking at first...especially considering that you only get the bottom trim level for that. At least it's a carbon frame.
