Done! I now have an e-bike from TJ's cycles! Still need to replace the handle bars for some with sweep and rise, and that will happen Monday or Tuesday, because that type of handlebar needs longer cabling. Will take for a spin around the block in a few minutes.
The Specialized SL Vado can take up to a 2.1" mtn bike tire; right now it has 48mm tires -- some Specialized anti flat tires.
Zoom zoom.
Do you mind me asking if you got a discount and how much? My Heckler was MSRP since it was brand new to market and I wanted to have it NOW.
Haha, it was $7.2K

It really is normal these days, stuff is expensive.

Yes, there are NICE guitars that are branded Santa Cruz. Here is my newest and it is SWEEEEET!
PRG DGT
Includes the "10 top" their best available wood for the top (obviously).
Is also a "Paul's Wood Library" guitar for the incredible flamed maple neck.
Has the best bird inlays and a bound neck. The fingerboard is incredible.

I think this (flat bar) would be a great commuter.
Santa Cruz prices their bikes like PRS price their guitars. They are both totally worth it, but dayummm. I bought the lowest of 5 builds with my Heckler SL and it was still over $7K.

^That^ would make a killer commuter bike.

Been noodling around on the interwebs learning this and that about the Specialized Turbo Vado 2 6.0. AI says "The maximum tire width that will fit on a Specialized Turbo Vado SL 2 6.0 is 56mm (or 2.2 inches). Back in the day, that was considered on the wide side for MTB racing.
It has something called Future Shock in the head tube that provides a whopping 2 cm of travel! Just enough to take the sting off.
I like it.

I've asked this about RPR here in the past. Apparently, they are open a LOT when wet. I have no idea about the others.

Unfortunately yes.
Guitar Center went to shit after they were purchased.

These equity firms own guitar stores, motorcycle companies, and every other odd thing they think they can cash in on.

My Heckler SL has a smaller motor and battery but only weighs 41 pounds. I have never used more than one bar of the battery after an hour.

slow injury recovery still has me months away from riding though.
Some things take time, whether we like it or not.

Some of us have less ability to ride than a lot of others have. I'll be 67 soon, and have some persistent issues from crashes, heart attacks, etc. My goal is to hold on to all riding as long as possible. My bike is a super light so smaller motor and battery, it's enough to let me ride most of where I had given up on.
I know, boo-hoo but the reason is real.

Man, If you are willing to drop 5 figures on a bike then does it matter?
Paying $7k for my Heckler SL was kinda shocking at first...especially considering that you only get the bottom trim level for that. At least it's a carbon frame.

I have to admit, I became a huge AXS fanboy after the first ride. Oh, yeah...I ride a 29/27.5 mullet.

It's been an incredible journey. Flight 8 should launch in a little over 10 hours.

That popped up on my feed this morning. My collar bone aches while watching this.
