you can see the dropzone clearly at the end of this video:
I've been watching some jump videos that tell you to compress into the face... But looking at these riders I'm not really seeing them do that — or at least it doesn't seem that they are. Particularly off the drops... They just seem to be riding off and maybe pulling up a bit when in the air. Am I missing something here?

I put a bell on all my bikes and that works pretty well to alert people. If you ring it far enough in advance, the bell gives people enough time to look back and then decide where they want to stand as you go past them. Of course, still doesn't work for the runners with headphones on (which is super annoying on a reasonably busy public trail system).

Last evening on SATN I called to a family on a dirt section of VC... There were about six of them I think... Half moved to the left and the other half to the right. I just smiled and waited for them to stagger the two groups giving some space in the middle.

Here's the mtbr forum thread that I found it on...

Came across this while checking out reach on XL bikes... Thought it interesting — and pretty amazing that someone would go to this trouble. This person has other charts too.
Here's the one for XL bikes stack/reach...

I tried less pressure — mid to low 20s — just felt too sloppy also, but I'm at 6'4"/240 lbs with gear. Normal pressure is 30/35 depending on trail. What I have done is go up in tire size, from 2.25 to 2.4 now. I'm going to try a 2.5 in front soon. Rims will be new too at 29/30mm front, 25mm rear. The increase in tire size is a good ride improvement. Never dented a rim, but I don't get the wheels off the ground more than 18".

Sorry for your lose, AntonioGG.

I saw it happen very quickly and overtly in a micro economy.
And a sign is a widening gap between the rich and poor, because of the decline of a proper middle class sector.

Here's a look at the matter of the origin of the virus from a different POV... One that says there was no lab-associated manipulation that caused the virus to be able to jump from animals to humans.
Of note though is that the person — the expert — doesn't actually deal with any specifics regarding the biology of the matter.

I can't even watch them anymore. Colbert and Kimmel's frothing at the mouth hatred of Trump is too hard to watch. I like to laugh at Trumpisms too but their observations are just too mean spirited now to be funny.

CNN is far from the real left. That's the trick about these "news" outlets and how they project themselves. Just because they bash trump doesn't make them left, it makes them entertainers and the anchors are personalities.
Anyone who didn't kiss the ring of the corporate & military industrial complex was fired from CNN and MSNBC a decade ago. All that remain are the whores.
Preach it, brother!

There was a sale on Kona was having a sale a few weeks back... Really great prices. Not sure if it was Kona itself or a reseller.

On one of the map apps I used there would be a voice every so often telling you how long you'd been riding for (I think, or maybe it's mileage)... I'd forget to mute and it would bug me no end.
Never worn earbuds while riding... It just doesn't fit in with why I ride. For me... The less I hear of the human world the better. -

And one more useless comment. Too easy.
As I said... Just too easy.

I fervently wish you would just go away. This used to be my quiet place – seems like you are happy to ruin it for everyone.
Well... I guess if wishes were horses beggars would ride, right.
TAF... The less you get all fussy the quieter this place will be. Honestly... You're your worst enemy. -

Classic!
Yes, it was good, but kind of expected. There are a couple of folks on this forum who are quick to spot opportunity, and notyal is one of them. But that one was kind of low fruit for him.

Dunno, that roller looks pretty sweet and makes me want to break some rules.
It's the painting on the rock that's the problem. Considered illegal graffiti. -

That would be good to illustrate the damage it can do to your bike as well.

"...Edited to say after reading ATXZJ's post, I have discovered that people's opinion on the shut down varies in correlation with their financial situation. Those receiving regular paychecks seem to favor continued shut down. Those that haven't a clue how they are going to pay for groceries are much more willing to take a chance on opening things up. Funny how that works!"
This is just normal human nature... Risk versus reward... Self preservation.
And it's why community is pretty much impossible for human society.
Which is why it comes down to the one carrying the biggest stick.
