I'll take 92°F at 50% humidity over 70°F at 85% humidity. I just can't stand it.  I also don't mind hotter and drier but it means carrying a lot more water for me.

Same. Went a couple times last summer during "morning" hours (before noon, anyway) and the humidity killed me. I'm not a profuse sweater, so humidity generally doesn't bother me too much, but compared to the hotter afternoons/evening, it was unbearable.

Looks like they ran outta that Walken money and went anime on this one. Bike's pretty cool though.

Walken was only for the Jeffsy. They do something a bit different for each. Most recent before Izzo was for Decoy.

And before Jeffsy/Walken was The Goat

Yep, that looks similar to mine. I think it probably actually still works, but i lost the spinny cap to hold the valve engagement pieces in. And mine is shaped a bit like a banana, because i've landed on my back a few times.

right now the topeak mini morph is at the top of my list.

    thanks for all the recommendations.

Here's my Blackburn. An old MMP-1. Still works great.

Just got the ad for that show.  I'll put it on my list.

I'm with you on the trash shows.  What's killing me is that part of our home schooling now is making the kids watch documentaries, and searching for "documentaries" yields a lot of reality trash shows.

I think I had read the Tiger dude story (long article) on Texas Monthly a while back.  The read was good, but I cannot imagine watching a show like that.

Try PBS app. Can watch a lot of NOVA docs as well as others for free. Not ALL, mind you, but I'd say most.

I have been on the streets unfortunately.

My bigger concern on the trails is not some bonewipe sneezing on me, but crashing into me and requiring a trip to the ER. I don't want to be consuming medical resources unnecessarily. Between several medical issues going on right now, I am pretty much writing off 2020 for mountain biking. Normally someone buys a bike and the rain keeps us off the trails. Who bought something that brought this on????

I bought a house. Sorry. Also turning 50, so apparently all those "50/grim reaper gags" are coming true...

I’m going to be “that guy” and say it: They should shut down the parks. People are idiots and taking too many risks. Personally I’ve seen an uptick in people riding trails out here at Brushy without helmets on.

Meanwhile, I’m 3D printing face shield components 24/7 to meet hospital demands.

Well, the good thing is if they crash, they probably won't be riding out there again, with or without a helmet, anytime soon.

  7. Just finished first episode of Tales From The Loop (Prime). Looking forward to the rest of the episodes.

And if I were tied to a chair and forced to watch Tiger King, or any other trailer trash type show, I'd probably bite my own tongue off just so I could choke on it and not have to watch it.  Not really a dumpster fire watching sort of person.

My late friend had friends in the northeast, and they just each recorded their track then they mixed it.  It's not quite a jam session but it sounded really good.

Pretty much how youtube musicians collaborate these days.

Very, very few actually "produce" anything. Most just buy the base spirit and age/blend/bottle and slap their decal on it.

Friend of mins is part of Moonshine Ridge, now out in Johnson City. They do in fact mash, ferment, then distill their own.

  10. I wish to, someday, build a nice .308 AR. I have an M1A, but really want to build a 18" fluted barrel AR. I built a PDW-style 300BLK and a "normal" 16" .223Wylde, but am desiring a better .308 than the M1A (currently in a Juggernaut Tactical Rogue bullpup chassis.) It's fun to shoot, but a bit of a pain to take care of.

Not a bad beer but can't really recommend it over some of the other porters out there. I was attracted to the stylish can and only later discovered it is named after the location in the book repository where "the shot" came from. Sort of a morbid way to name a beer.

Actually like this one quite a bit. I use a couple of the ceramic/pottery 28oz bombers for growlers/bottle conditioning homebrew.

  12. You CAN change the oil weight, within reason, for tuning. I used 5wt instead of the recommended 3wt when I redid my PIKE damper (at 210, figured a little extra would help) I did not change the lower/air chamber oil weight, as it's already a bit heavier, mostly just to keep things slick.

  13. Not quite the same, but I just did full rebuild on my Pike. The lower leg service is pretty much that: JUST the lower legs. Damper is separate (for the PIKE; i'm fairly certain FOX wouldn't be much different). IF you're going to do the damper service, you will need the 2nd oil as well (you would drain the damper oil, clean, then add new light weight oil.) Lower leg basics are to pull the legs, dump the heavier oil, clean (usually with isopropyl alcohol; was going to write ipa but didn't want anyone screaming about a. wasting beer or b. really sticky fork parts;) replace rings/seals, replace lower, add oil through bolt hole, install bolts. Not much more to it than that.
