I have a Chinese knock off of this. Low profile mounts between my brake and dropper lever.

I like when I yell "on your left" and the person steps left. Some of us obviously still haven't learned left from right.
I think many trail walkers have no idea what that means. I'll say "excuse me, coming up on your left" or something similar.
It's annoying when you have to yell. And when they act startled I'm thinking, no shit, turn down your headphone volume idiot.

Did a Google on Carol Lee Preserve and the first thing to pop up was fence planning☹

Years ago I did an MTB trip with Western Spirit around the South Rim. We rode outside of the National Park.

I must admit I am disappointed, even more so now that Mom has gotten involved. I was planning to host a single speed HOL climbing challenge that day, with of course a couple of kegs of Jelly for the winners.
As that is a single speed event, I assume there will be kegs strategically placed on the hill and shots required before advancing past?

Trail update: With some extra help yesterday the BCRT is now cleared from the YMCA to Olson Meadows, that's 5 miles in two days. Unfortunately, the 30+ miles of MTB trail are going to be much harder to clear. Please keep a look out for volunteer days coming soon.
Where will this info be posted?
Is there an email list I can get on?

Jeremiah wasn't the main guy, the owner/partner? I seem to recall the owner sold/closed down the shop and moved up north somewhere. I'm terrible with names...

No, I don't think Jeremiah was the main guy. He followed Nelo to Nelo's shop. I'm not sure if they were partners in that shop.
Eurosport closed in the early 2000s if not maybe late 90s.

Fun fact...Nelo was the mechanic at Euro-Sport for many years. When Euro-Sport closed, Nelo opened up his own shop in north Austin.
When I began visiting Austin around 95', I was a big GT Bicycles fan. I have the tramp stamp to prove it! But I would always seek out the GT dealers and hang out there. Euro-Sport sold GT and that was my shop once I moved to Austin after college. Freewhee ling was across the street and a very well known shop. I frequented there a bit too. Back then there was a big group roll-out from Freewheeling that headed down to the Austin Tuesday Nighter Bandit Road Race. The whole thing was quite an event.
Later,
CJBJeremiah was at Eurosport too.
I think he made the GASP shirts.
I'm still in touch with Jeremiah.

More details if you have it? I like this type of history. I never got a chance to visit the Barton Springs location.
They were in the building where Kava bar is. I remember they had both floors. I think the 1st floor was service and the 2nd was sales but it's been a long time so I could be wrong.
Around the same time they has a store on 183 near Anderson Mill.

As I recall the sign is now illegible. But it was still in decent shape when I started riding CP in 2017. I was always curious what the deal was with that section.
Illegal trail cutting in the area IIRC

someday I plan to run for city council and work to get forest ridge opened up. The city at one point mandated that forest ridge be opened up to recreation and the employees in charge stonewalled until there was a new mayor and new city council. "deep state" as it were. The people in charge are birdwatchers and highly favor the interest of birdwatchers.
Remember the section of City Park that was supposed to reopen in 2009?

It was awesome. Bitter End as well.
Was Bitter End the first brew pub in Austin? I was trying to remember the name of this place recently

Bobby built up 2 road bikes for me. Fantastic Mechanic, probably the best I have ever seen. As they say the devil is in the details, and he got them perfect.
Not sure what happened to him, had Bobby’s Bikes for a while.....then disappeared.
Bobby moved back to AZ to be closer to family as he had some personal issues as mentioned above.

Nelo's and Music City. I don't think there was a better wrench in town than Dave @ Music City.
Bobby at Nelo's was a close 2nd.
There was reference to SuperGo. I only remember them as a catalog store (those paper things you used to get in the mail).

For some reason I had thought BSS was between Barton Springs and Toomey Rd. In a barn looking place, I think on Jessie St. Am I thinking of a different bike shop?
I'm pretty sure I never went to BSS in the Kava Bar building. It's possible they moved there and by that time I was frequenting their store on 183 near Anderson Mill.
I think they moved to Toomey by 95.
Austin Tricyclist has been on Barton Springs for a really long time.
-
BSS was in a 2 story shack on Barton Springs that is still there. It's now Kava Bar. Then they moved to Toomey for a number of years.
Their current location must've been vacant when I got here. There was a lot of vacant businesses.
I miss their new year's day rides

Yeah, BSS Lamar can definitely skew your perceptions I think. It used to be a bowling alley.
When was it a bowling alley? I can't remember what it was before BSS moved in. I remember when they were located on Barton Springs in what is now a juice shop.

My bar lights are about 10 to 12 feet out and centered on my bar. I run the light on my helmet a slightly higher angle so as I look ahead that light is much further past.
I think the biggest adjustment is dealing and reading shadows.
Oh.. and deciding if the root ahead of you is a root or Cobra

Reminds me of 24 Hours of Rocky Hill years ago on a night lap.
I stopped for a massive snake slithering across the trail. Another guy came flying up and screamed,"WOOHOO!Snake!" as he bunnyhopped it.

We are buying a piece of land and my Google skills seem lacking.
Are there trail dozer for sale or rent around central TX?
