  1. I have the Craftsman. I’ve had it for 2 or 3 years and it has been used for airing tires, repressurizing a well tank, drying bike chains and setting beads. It’s worked fine for me. If you settle on the Craftsman, you’ll need to buy your hose and attachments separately.

Anyone been out here since the ice storm? I don't have a sense of how quickly State Parks might clear trails and don't have much faith in asking the park staff (from some past experiences).

I was there shortly after the storm and trees and limbs were down in abundance on Madrone and Juniper Ridge.  The horse trails I rode were mostly out of the trees, so they were good.  It was a bit of pain negotiating the downage, but I got in about 18 miles of dirt.  That was on 2-25.  Not particularly helpful, I know, but that's all I got.

I've camped out there, swam, and mountain biked. It is a real treasure.  I haven't seen it since the devastating flood on the Blanco in 2015.  Does the 533 acres represent the entire Ranch Cima property?  It seemed bigger.

This is a pretty good article that answers a few questions.

I'll make it a point to try both Trailforks and Strava in the near future.  I think Strava is just segments, not sure it's for navigation.  As for Trailforks, I have no clue.

It's been a while since I've used Strava on my phone to record, so not sure what's up with that.  However, I do know you can get pointed back in the right direction using Trailforks.

I checked their website and they didn't have any Yeti's listed.  I guess they are available but not listed?

Yeah, I should have elaborated.  The Yeti's are in the demo fleet and are listed on the website under the Ride to Buy heading.  It might be a little pricey for what you want to do, but it also might be worth it to talk to them.  They'll usually work with you, depending on their reservation list.

I had a similar experience at Angelfire. It was an "easy" section, but I was going fast because, ya know, gravity. I think it is just really easy to take these sections for granted. One lapses in concentration and you'll be kissing dirt. In my case, I was adjusting a GoPro (or just blinking) and the front tire washed out on the downside of a little benchcut. Luckily, I was wearing a full face and my beautiful face was spared.

    Kinda like this?

  7. If you are not already doing so, remember to equalize pressure in both your fork and shock.  Do this by going through travel at least 25%, 10 times.  This will equalized pressure between the positive and negative chambers, enabling you to acquire correct sag.

Does anybody have a copy of the trail map the SOS (Save Our Springs) sold a few years (4 or 5?) back that showed most of the trails in the BCGB? I can't find mine. I was looking for it to post in answer to crazyt's post.

If it would help the cause, I’d be happy to send it to you.
