  1. Yea, it was really short lived. Maybe a few minutes.
  2. I think you’re referring to Surburban Ninja, which leads to Red Horn/Peddlers. Definitely check it out if you haven’t already, it’s a sweet trail and a good way to end a ride with a beer.
  3. I should point out that BCRT, or at least in the Deception/picnic/Mulligan area, did not see 30 minutes of hard rain as your Strava posts mentions. In fact, my rain gauge, which is about 200 ft from Deception didn’t even record 0.10”. The statement in Strava is misguiding as it implies that BC trails will be good to go even after 30 minutes of rain. Had the area gotten that rain there’s no way they’d be rideable.
  4. Super slick. Dirt was okay before I left for work this morning, but may be getting tacky if mist has picked up.
  5. Haven’t been able to get out on the trails due to work/school/life. Anyone been out there this morning?
  6. Not much recorded precip but the consistent misting and condensation have made the trails mucho slicko. Ground will need some time to dry.
  7. We haven’t had much rain. Rain gauge near the 1/4 Notch entrance shows hardly anything. With that being said, condensation this morning has made roots and rocks very slick. Ground isn’t in bad shape, but unless you like really sketchy rides on Deception I’d wait to ride until the morning dew dries.
  8. Yep, Rim, DD, 1/4 Notch are good to go. Yesterday Picnic is sloppy in spots. Peddlers is still sloppy and shouldn’t be ridden. Snow White, Gumdrop are g2g, Gnargasm is slop. Ready for a damn drought already.
  9. Haha dang man how current do you need? We didn’t get any rain last night so it’s still g2g. There are a few spots of standing water on Deception so be aware of that, but besides the rest of the trail is good. Havent checked Peddlers since I’ve been stuck at work, but I plan to hit it up after I leave to see how things look.
  10. I’m walking 1/4 Notch now. It’s okay to ride. Some slick spots on the east entrance which are typical and a few areas of standing water, but 95% of the trail is dry. I’ll walk to picnic in a second. I should add that there are some big puddles out here. The trail is mostly g2g but be smart and hike a bike over big puddles. Looks like these areas are going to need to be built up. Update! I’m kind of torn on the condition of Picnic. Good amount of standing water. Sections that don’t have standing water are good.
  11. Haven't been on myself, but I've heard it's good to go from multiple people. Skyyhorn mentioned two spots which are riders should ride thru not around. Apparently these spots are getting wiiidddeeeee.
  12. Ugh, does it not show up? It shows up for me when I’m on my PC but I don’t see it when I use my phone. Whomp whomp 😭
  13. You could check the link in my sig you know? 😉
  14. You guys are brutal haha Check the latest update on Twitter. My wife hit a pothole yesterday that bubbled her tire so I only had a limited time this morning to check things out before having to drive her around (all of my cars are manuals, she’s a millennial sooooo). If you get on sections I didn’t report on leave a comment!
  15. I agree that the entrance needs work, but there are 9 wide, rutted sections throughout 1/4 Notch that should be addressed. In fact some of the more deeply rutted stuff is just before the bailout at the start of Double Down.
  16. Ugh, figured it was showing, but I guess not. Thanks for the heads up.
  17. If you guys want to see more trail destruction check out my latest Brushy Creek TC twitter post. There are some sections on 1/4 Notch that are about 5-6 ft wide now.
  18. We’ll need to do something to promote regrowth of vegetation at widened areas. The wife and I walked 1/4 Notch tonight and documented 9 areas that will need repair. I was glad to see some branches I used to cover an area that riders were riding over to avoid muck were still in place. Trails won’t be ready tomorrow or the next day unfortunately. I think I’m going to take my bike for a tune up since conditions are garbage.
  19. If Double Down is good then 1/4 Notch will be good since it has more sections that receive sun. And by good I mean rideable but be aware of remaining low spots. Do not ride around muddy or slick spots. I’ve noticed some mucho trail widening occurring on 1/4 Notch as a result. The East side entrance of 1/4 Notch was slickkkkkk city two days ago. Obviously should be better now, but will not be 100%. Once you get back from riding let us know how it looks.
  20. Speaking of which. Does anyone know how the trails are looking today? I just flew out to NYC for work so checking trails is uhhhhh challenging.
  21. Just checked out 1/4 Notch, Picnic, and Peddlers. Lots of slick snotty areas showing signs of trail widening and overall garbage. Not recommended to ride.
  22. We received approx 1.25” of rain yesterday evening. Ground is very soft and trails would be damaged by riding today.
  23. Good timing, I was about to post on twitter and then saw this notification. Most trails are good to go. There are still low spots and spots that are slick, but these areas can be walked around or ridden through. Rocks and roots in exposed areas will be slick due to the mist we’ve gotten this morning, but ride smart and you’ll be fine. Go get a ride in before the rain!
  24. Crazy, yea my rain gauge didn’t show anything for the day. I think we’re going to have to have a massive volunteer day(s) to go out to all trails and repair the damage that has occurred this season.
  25. Thanks for the update, I’ll use this to update the Twitter feed. I had a critical item come up at work so I’ve been unable to check things out. Any word on Picnic and other sections?
