Nice loop! you hit a lot of it, but there is so much more. there's a loop or two in the middle of Circle C Metro and then a ton of stuff to the west along Slaughter Creek. and more beside that. 

I still don't know why I have a trail named after "me".

you may not want to hear this, but you need a bike that fits you. riding a frame that's too small and doing weird stuff to make it fit is alike buying a pair of shoes that is a size too small and cutting a hole in the ends so your toes can stick out. talk to Seth about Guerrilla Gravity.

how tall are you? the Honzo is a looong frame already, so the XL probably fits like an XXXL. learn to ride with dropped heels.

General advice: CL ads dissapear suddenly. Take a screenshot of the ad and post it for the sake of posterity lulz.

I never seem to find the post-ride beverages. Do I finish my ride too early or are they drinks being hidden from me? Should I bring my own? What's the procedure/ etiquette for that sort of thing?

I have a Garmin Forerunner 405 that needs a new home. It still works just fine but the technology is a bit outdated. you need to plug the ANT+ adapter into a USB port on a regular computer to access your ride data. none of that fancy new-fangled Blueteeth stuff.

I have only gone a few times in recent months, but there are usually over 50 people who split up into several groups. they ride everything from Slaughter Creek Nature Preserve, to the northern reaches of Circle C, to Sunset Valley, to Mary Moore Seawright Park. show up, pick a group that will ride your pace, and follow someone. the fast group(s) be FAST!
