I'm still offended over how many times RA called hot dogs "shitty food". Sure, the Great Value franks from Walmart are not going to give the same flavor and mouthfeel of, say, a Hebrew National, but don't hate on people because they can't afford a premium frank. A well cooked Great Value weiner on a upgraded bun can be pretty enjoyable with the proper condiments. However, to mack turtle's point, there is only so much lipstick you can put on a pig - unless of course that lipstick is chili and cheese, but at that point, is the hotdog or the chili really the star of the dish?

But we all know they are best on a grill

I can pass along the name of a local dude that makes custom bike protection. 

IIRC, the reason I heard for removing it completely was because of complications with loading on a tailgate. So, if that's a consideration for you, may be worth it.

I'm pretty sure they left this little cedar tree at the top of Spider Mtn specifically for this purpose.

Reminds me of my high school days. I had a Chevy Silverado that I fishtailed all over town. My dad had a Mustang GT, 5.0, stick. That car snapped around SOOOO much faster than my big old truck. One misty morning, I took the Mustang to school. We decided to skip out and go get some tacos. I thought it would be good idea to roast the tires on the way out of the parking lot. Next thing I know, we are facing 180 degrees in the other direction on the wrong side of the road, and the teacher of the class I'm skipping is out front of the school just shaking his head.
