We have had always had our kids cook and they both enjoy it and do well. Each week they are required to make us something legit.
So this weekend we are starting a family food day. We drew straws for a meal and then each of us have to fix a real meal for everyone else. Should be fun and they are already wanting to do this each month or more often.

This was such a hit that everyone wanted to do this again. My wife had done Crepes  (she is a Celiac - so everything is Gluten Free that is made ) Son made pasta carbonara for lunch , I did blackened Mahi for dinner and my daughter made creme puffs for desert.

We drew straws again and this Monday we are doing this whole deal again, Shocked that the kids are diving into this and not half assed either, they are into making some cool stuff

  2. I ended up pulling the old headset. Bottom bearing was fine. Upper had the very slightest play , maybe a half MM is all.
I went ahead and got a Wolftooth
Headset. You can mix and match so I went Premium on top and Performance for the lower.

Installed with a press and it was so easy. Did a quick 7 mile ride at SN last night and it was a very noticeable difference.
I had no idea that something like a headset that when it works you dont think of but when it is somehow off it can make a ride janky.
Thanks for all the advice and education.

  3. OTBS the riding lately has been great, time with the family a blessing , time with my wife has been very nice, working from home is the best.

Lost weight, little stress, saving a shit ton of money, sleeping better and feeling good

a friend of mine bought a bike from BSS downtown this weekend. it was a very lousy experience. they would not answer questions over the phone, answered incorrectly with a text message, and made him prepay for the bike online at a cost more than MSRP. when he picked up the bike, it was the wrong bike. the sales guy said "sorry, you already paid for it" and just walked away. the spokes are loose and the brakes barely work as if some amateur put it together. he's enjoying the bike anyways, but his story was one of the worst customer service nightmares I have ever heard. did something change there recently?

I am no fan of BSS but that sounds unusually horrid

  5. This was my son's BMX and he has outgrown. This is a 18"

Is it scratched? Heck yea it is ! Should be that way, it's been rode hard.

He is asking a reasonable $350

  6. My 16 yr old daughter and wife are supposed to be in Munich for the next couple weeks. Obviously not happening. Her camp she has attended since she was 4 yrs old every summer is of course a no go as well. No trip to Fla this year or hell, even the neighborhood pool is off the table. What sucks for her especially is that she gets to see some of her friends posting pics from Florida or some random beach and enjoying life and summertime on vacation. She gets why we arent caving in and letting her go out but still sucks when in her world it seems like "everyone" else is having fun except her. Welcome to Adulting love. Isnt it awesome?

  7. The front tire and its pressure can make a big difference with this too.
Yes. The tires and pressure make a large difference and impacts on cornering as well handling.
Also when you rode these 2 bikes I assume you rode them on the same trail and corner to make the cornering comparison more accurate?

  8. So made myself an appointment for the Heart Scan CT and it was scheduled for this AM at the RR location.

I had already gone through the screening process and all that. Showed up and filled out the paperwork and paid the $99

I was taken to radiology and waited. Was there quite awhile and finally nice lady asked me who my primary care Dr was. I informed her I dont have one and I had not seen a Dr in like 15 years.

Apparently you cant get this done unless you have a Dr to give the results to.  So no go they could not help me out. Now the wife is making me find a Dr.

Owell. I think it would be sort of funny if my heart explodes today after all this.  BTW, the people there were super nice and apologetic.   It is what it is so nothing at all negative toward them at all.

  9. That is what caused some of my confusion in researching. On their site they call it a 34 upper and 44 lower.
I did not however call him up to ask.
And so many of his frames are custom. I was told mine was a custom order by the original owner

  10. I always keep my bladders in a drawer in the garage fridge
Ever since doing so the skank has ceased. The only times I have an issue with some nasty stuff growing in them is if and when I forget to put the bladders back in the cold. If I leave them in the heat or room temp then stuff grows.
I do run straight water in bladders. If I mix I use a water bottle

  11. Just hide like we are or accept the fact that nature can skull fuck us really anytime she wants and that maybe we should get our shit together, stop breeding like rabbits, and stop destroying things and then letting this kind of crap out.

I totally agree with you on this. Makes me laugh though. If you cant get people to wear a mask because of whatever they dream up then imagine their uproar when they are told not to breed

  12. From an article about the virus bringing families closer together. Hilarious. The increase in domestic violence, and alcoholism is closer to the truth. But seriously, MASKS at home? You can't make this stuff up.

I agree with Notyal.. stock photo.
And if this couple months of alone time with your dearly beloved drives you to divorce or domestic violence or alcoholism then I can maybe assume things were not stellar to begin with.
