I feel like I am missing out. I am very much not a competitive person. I didnt even know you can do all of this. I just track miles\times for myself.
Search for new trails is it.

What is in the house when I bought it is a Carrier Infinity system. We did not replace the whole system as it was not needed since it was installed fully less than 10 yrs ago. we ended up replacing the compressor. That is what failed. Not just failed but became crispy burnt Maybe from the storm sometime Wed or early Thursday? Christian Brothers came out and did the work for this. They ended up cutting about $350 off the initial quote since they couldn't get it fixed immediately.Care to give some stats on your new system? Who'd you use? what size (ton, seer, features)? what was replaced?
Congrats (sorta) on getting this behind you...

Under normal circumstances, like not late on a Friday afternoon on a 3 day weekend, it would not have taken this long.
This part was amazingly expensive to replace.
I did call around to other places but being a long weekend there was not alot to be done for us.
I was impressed with Stans although they did not do the work. They had some good offers on their site and the guy I spoke with was very nice and polite and patiently listened to me.
Anyways, that's life and I am thankful it was not worse and thankful we could make it happen.

Pockets are WAYYYYYYY lighter , air is cooler and the ladies in the house are happy. Son still has not noticed any sort of change in temp in the last 4 - 5 days. So proud of him. My Little Lebowski Urban Achiever
Thanks All

All things considered. This is a 1st world problem and could always be way worse.
It is amusing in a way since I am not sure my son has even noticed

Right. Woke this AM and saw sun. Fu#k me is all I said.
Well good luck. Hope it is something easy and cheap for yall. I've been flabbergasted by the people who have reached out with various offers. Blown away and touched

A company came out and looked awhile ago. They dont have the compressor or the condenser and said it will be sometime next week , maybe. But they will call us back when they can.Do you have an A/C guy working on it?I describe myself as sticky and numb right now

Picked a great weekend for the condenser on the house AC unit to explode and not be available to next week to replace

Interesting, 2 weeks ago it was fine, maybe a single board missing then.
It was mangled up, not just missing a board. Should be easy to fix. With the rain we are about to get and a long weekend I will be happy to go knock that out this weekend if you want. Not a problem. Let me know

Speaking of wood bits and Gumdrop... be careful with the wood bridge there.. 1/2 of it is gone. It was darkish when I went through there so didnt get a great look.
But it is trashed now.

Thank you both .. Chief,, that story is pretty cringe worthy. Thats up there with catching ones finger in the spinning rotor.
Back to my nut issue. It is literally off by maybe a MM if that much. So snugging up the preload so there is no knock or bump at all , nothing then it is too stiff to move my bars. They do not freely move but the HS doesnt knock
But if I do the preload where my bars move nice and free, there is a bump. Newish lower bearing , top bearings are the same as ever. If I reassemble the headset there are no issues until the preload bolt is engaged.
Id almost rather have the slightest knock to have a freely moving bar. A stiff one is scary. OK,, Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results,, so let me take this apart again , maybe this time Ill get lucky.
Thanks

Im sure that Cedar Park likes the free ad though. Maybe it is referring to the new part of the trail but used that picture from that spot instead? Owell.

Is it possible that if a star nut is not 100% level in the fork that it makes adjusting the headset difficult.
Mine is off by a hair. less than a MM
When my headset snugs up , the steering is stiff... when I back off the adjuster bolt a 1/4 turn loose the steering is smooth.
The only thing I can find "off" is the star nut seems a tad high in the front.

RIGHT! Watched 3 games yesterday and 2 today. There is a match on Monday and then Friday. So odd watching with no crowds but so what.
During the Dortmund game yesterday you can hear a Schalke player suggest to Haaland he should go @#$& his grandmother. Wouldnt hear that over a crowd.
