  1. Just my opinion but, wouldn’t it be too obvious if tanks were rolling down our streets? They made us think it was common sense by calling it shelter in place. Or self quarantine. If it’s really about keeping our distance from each other to not spread a virus, why do they arrest a man playing ball with his son in a deserted park? What about the guy paddle boarding alone at the beach getting arrested?

Would a government start tyranny with guns ablazin’ when we’re all armed? Or, would they convince us that it’s a good idea? That it’s for “the greater good”? Does the government really have our best interests in mind?
Maybe my head is cooking inside this tinfoil hat.....
Well fair enough, Thanks. Looking at the big picture with the guy in the park. I dont know.. when you are asked for an ID and give lip.. yea I think you will get hassled. Anyways there is normally more to the story than a headline grabbing statement like Man gets arrested while playing with son... anyways. I know we the people need to be careful with what the govt does but not everything requires a tin foil hat. Could simply be the powers that be simply dont want to deal with deaths. How do you do that? Staying home. Not everything is a conspiracy.

Lol! I’m sorry. The answer we were looking for is “Tyranny”. 😂

OK , Curious-- How is it tyranny to ask people to stay home so they don't get sick and spread a virus? Seems to me that this common sense. Now if the military was rolling through the hood and using force  --that to me would be tyranny.

If I helped pay for these signs to be put on various trails like Peddlers, Snail, Deception, and Ninja, do you think the City/County/Whomever would allow it.  Seems like money well spent.  I'm happy to get it going but I know ARR does stuff like this.  I'm just so tired of seeing people damage trails when wet.

Suburban Ninja is a whole different beast over there. It is not really part of BC, more like adjacent cousins. Someone correct me but would not that be under AJs domain to ask this for that section of trail?

  4. Beautiful ride tonight. Saw 2 bikers all night and that was before the sun set. Amazing considering the masses wanderingly clueless lately.

Also a message to the chick who was in your bra and panties back off 1/4 getting your pictures taken. Number 1.. thanks! Number 2 dont act so surprised to see a biker ride by you. What the hell did you expect?

Yeah, I did this about 2 years ago! I married a 105 shifter to an XT derailer with a Wolftooth Tanpan. It works exactly as advertised. At the time I did it for stable uniformity. We have 5 bikes with an XT rear derailer, and we always keep a new derailer on the shelf. That's a lot  backups.

The only small annoyance is that it gets in the way of the rear rack mount, so I just have to shift down to loosen the cable an pop the Tanpan out to install or remove a rear rack. Next time I do a cable change, I may try moving the Tanpan upstream slightly, at next up cable boss.

Barry--What is that squareish thing on the downtube?

  6. Think the stem rise will work for you?  Typically use a high rise stem to allow for riding the drops.
Looks fun except for the lack of gears.
It is a Mt Bike with drops that are wide. I ride a short stem anyways. If it is too janky then I can swap her to something longer. (TWSS)

  7. I set rear to 20 to 25 depending how hard I think I'm gonna bash and 18 if doing hot laps of PP. And my front stays around 15. I also have huck Norris insert in rear. And I ride with thicker sidewalls like DDs sometimes.

Man.. I know that works for you but isnt that a bit mushy? What about pinging your rims that low? I find I go faster.. less effort the firmer it is.. like a happy medium. You do you .just curious

  8. depending on the trail I run about 24 rear and 22 / 23 front. It works for me based on my tires, weight and conditions. Sometimes I adjust from there. Play with it and see what works. I seriously doubt you will over inflate.

I've been riding Brushy for the first time lately and I don't know for sure if my tire pressure is set correctly. I don't wanna have it too high an risk bursting it. What do yall run? (got 29" tubeless if that matters at all)

    What are you running now?

  10. Yea I know lol. I thought you were waving me to move the shit out of my driveway. Surprised you were riding at that time. You come across a lot of people?

I have found that dusk through dark has increasingly less people. The crowds disappear at sundown and the trails are empty so I've been trying to ride at that time lately. BC is a different beast at nite.

  11. Park under 183 a. No gates. Or at Dodge Cattle either in cul de sac (sorry Green) or at the western trail head of Deception on Staked Plains . Or just park in the parking lot of 7-11 if you just wanna ride PP and worried about curfew on gates

I was half joking, mostly b/c who wants/needs one these days.  We have family event tapes and we decided if we want to watch them we'll take them in to get professionally transferred to DVD.
Crazy but it's one of those really late purchases when tapes were pretty much almost dead.  I was recording Speedvision on there.  I bet I still have some SCCA Touring and GT races as well as some F1 races somewhere.   I probably used this thing a handful of times before it just sat idle.
I also have an unbelievable quantity of junk cables.  I can't believe I didn't clean-up all this junk sooner.  I'll probably disassemble, recycle any plastic that has recycling marks, dispose of the electronics somewhere, and take the cables into Best Buy for recycling.  I offered my kids to get to stripping the insulation and sell the copper back but they're too lazy.
I donated 2 of them to Goodwill. Thought I had a third but turns out that was a DVD player. Our 19th wedding anniversary is this week and she wanted to watch the videos. I need to get the tapes digitized for reals now.

  13. The ride tonight was pretty sweet. Saw zero people on the trails until the very end on Peddlers. There was a father and his kid doing a night ride. So cool. Whoever you are random ass dad.. you are doing it right.

  14. Dropped out On the hike a bike trail today after doing caddy shack and I saw two Wilco police officers on bikes cruising the paved trail. First time ever for that. Something up? By the way no masks for them!
