Questions:
1) Where is ankle biter in this?
2) I don't recall seeing Chutes and Ladders. Is it MTB trail? Is "in da werks" mean y'all are making this trail?
3) I always was calling Snow White, Caddyshack, but this map looks like Caddy Shack is after gnargasm going towards the dam. How do I get on this trail?
This is from a couple yrs ago but gives a good idea and is from the OG builder. The different sections are there and you can watch the videos.

I would say I hate the speakers, but it really only bothers me for the 5 seconds when I can hear it as they pass. How much can you really hate something that is a minor annoyance for only 5 seconds? I guess it's just the attitude that your tunes are more important than my quiet that pisses me off.
Touche' I am a hypocrite. I thought the dude I rode by last week blasting Motorhead was pretty cool.

And for the record, I cant stand guys blaring their music on a blue tooth speaker zip tied to their handle bars. I truly enjoy the crunch of my tires and the being alone aspect of riding.
This is truly a pet peeve of mine. I dont care if you have headphones. I honestly dont think on trails there are truly that many blindspots. I hear and see people through trees. It is isnt like we wear ghillie suits and no one can see us. Just situational awareness I guess. BUt yea,, hate the speakers for some reason.

I had to stop by Peddlers in CP this AM for help with a project. I was blown away by the amount of work he has piling up. I counted over 30+ bikes in waiting. But super happy the shop was not dead

So if anything I am learning more -- about the R word and gravel bikes
I keep coming across levers \ shifters sold left and right. I think I figured out that left is for brakes, while the right side is brakes & shifting , am I correct?

Cool.. I knew that you would know and confirm that for me. Thanks ChiefYeah...there's really no inexpensive way to get where you want to go.

Dang. Had no idea levers for dropbars were so money.
My setup is simple. Single speed so no shifting. I dont do droppers so that's not needed. I want to use my SLX calipers so just need levers that are compatible.
Been looking at the GRX 600s from Shimano .. but damn they are pricey for levers.
I do have Sram calipers in my bin so maybe I'll look at what Sram offers. I'm totally open to suggestions ideas or ridicule.

Excuse my ignorance here but never needed to know this before and I've spent hours looking.
I have a Rock Shox Reba 100 MM fork. I am leaning toward this stem PNW Coast stem and bars , https://www.pnwcomponents.com/products/coast-stem , but not entirely sure if this will fit the fork. I am thinking that the steerer tubes are a standard size so pretty much any stem will fit ??
Then I just need to score the levers and hoods for brakes .. thanks.

If i have SLX calipers already, is it possible to use road\gravel levers with the SLX calipers?

This is a byproduct of me being bored, anxious, and having monthly expenses were 25% of what they usually are due to this lockdown.
Bars are 44cm Woodchipper 2’s.
Here’s the link to the build:
https://salsacycles.com/bikes/fargo/2018_fargo_rival_1_27.5
Snagged on closeout for 26% off. Happy about that. Obviously I added the dropper, lever and fork on my own, but it was still a killer deal for a bike I’ve been searching for a deal on for over a year.
So going from a typical MTB bar length, how is it with those 44?
Damn.. guess I hijacked this thread. I'll ping you up in that gravel one

Just in case any of you are seeing the article about the Belgian "study" on runners and bikers, it will be best to arm yourselves with some real data about that article:
Saw this as well. I was happy since I could take it to my kids and show a real world example of critical thinking and not believing everything they see online as truth.
Be careful of wording and the sources of their truth, even from me. And I dont claim to be a critical thinker. I am a self described pessimistic optimist.-- I think you are screwing me over but I hope you are not , so I am wary.

I often wonder how people in the med field, Police, FIre or EMS and such can handle things they see. Once I had kids I changed and man the dumbest things gets me a creeper in the eye , my kids mock me. But whatever
