Agreed. Been here since '72 when I was 2.
I have a theory that if you’re born here and never leave you are naturally immune for life. Everyone I know who struggles with this isn’t truly native to Austin even if they’ve lived here almost their entire life. If the cedar count is insanely high it just effects me the same way breathing dusty air does. Maybe a little bit of dry throat and I have to blow my nose a few times just from the shear amount of junk in the air.

For me .. I think the reactions to something like pollens is natural. It can suck sometimes . It is my body's reaction naturally that helps me more that swallowing pills. I expect my eyes to get irritated. I expect the scratchy throat or snot nose. That's how the body reacts to something like pollen. When I'd did take a pill to dry my runny nose for example I feel so much worse. I just roll with it and rarely have bad issues.
Blow my nose.. cough up junk a bit
Meds make me feel cloudy and worse off.
I am skeptical of the medical industry and think the so called allergy doctors stumbled on a gold mine and sell snake oil to people in the name of managing allergies.

Days this good mean you ride where the new bikes with reflectors arent. Glad you made it out unscathedDay was amazing, but brought out so many. I had 3 near collisions on 1/4 notch on blind corners I decided today was a day to head home before something bad happened. I was even looking out for it and still had close calls.

The "cure" to me is always worse in my opinion
I just deal with it and let nature take its course. I've found it rarely bothers me that much. Although it is more noticeable this year, I wont let it stop me.

I theory, assuming the rider going downhill knows that.Riding in other places, with long, technical climbs, the person climbing has the right of way.

Ride long enough this always pops its head.
I no longer care. If I can stop then I'll stop and yield happlily.
If I'm huffing up something like EBD then I wont happily stop unless I have to. 99% of the time I say hi or something and almost always get a grunt or hello back. If I dont get a response back, whatever man, be rude but expect any help if you need it from me.

What is the Ninja you speak of?I kid. SN is not rogue. I would not personally consider it part of Brushy.Quick question: I know the new Freeride 512 stuff is not really for public consumption yet, but what is the status of Ninja? I had a request to update my site with more recent Brushy info, and I don't know a.) how publicly legit it is and b.) do people consider this separate or part of brushy. One because it is not attached to BC you currently have to ride the neighborhood to get to BC.
Two because it is entirely different in terrain, flow, personality.
In the future if they ever actually connect as planned I'd still consider them seperate.
I'd say it is BC accessible? BC adjacent? But not part of BC. Ultimately I'd ping the builder.

Wed at 10AMI had noticed that someone had laid branches across the trail at certain intersections. Not very big branches. But, easy to notice. Helped me make a loop out there.

Cool.. my second bike is a SS also. They are funAwesome, that is exactly my speed. I've been riding for about a year and ride a single speed 29er with no suspension. I can hold my own but definitely don't break any strava KOM's out there.

We will leave on SN @ 10 AM Wed morning.FWIW, I would totally be down for the New Years ride if that happens. Live up here on Brightwater/Great Oaks and I'm always looking for people to ride with.
Me and Smithy meet by Red Horn parking behind the bank. We ride pretty chill and it's by no means a type A personality ride. We laugh and gossip and enjoy it.

You have the right idea. Ride without a hard stop time and you can have a great time. Crazy amount of options available. I'm pretty sure we passed you and your kid on Christmas day. It was a nice daySpent about 2 hours wandering around SN yesterday, and discovered that little section listed on Strava as "I hang to the left." So many beautiful trails out there. Also, I decided I really like the fact that it's not signed or marked, gives a sense of adventure you can't find anywhere else in brushy. As long as you don't try to sneak in a ride on a lunch break lol
The landscape out there is different than the rest of brushy, feels more wild and remote with all of the trees. Took a super cool pic of my son on Christmas day riding the bridge about halfway up SN. Really hope the bulk of the SN area sticks around after all of the development is complete. #keepSNwild

The best ways to find your way around in there is to give yourself enough daylight. Ride and pay attention. It makes sense after awhile and a few rides. There are for sure some killer nuggets that are hidden away. The long down hills are so awesome. The stuff by the church are cool if that's your thing but you can stack some fat miles together. It can easily connect down to BC if you so desire. But YoSmithy ain't kidding you can do and ez 8 plus miles and never be far from the shop.
