  1. This is a quote from Honeybadger a couple days ago over where this was first brought up on the Brushy thread.

"AJ will adjust the trail as needed. The Parks director is ok with the mtb trails staying or adjusting around the concrete trail.
I see this trail as a huge benefit to the Brushy Creek Single Track, we'll no longer have to ride through a neighborhood to get from SN to the rest of Brushy, how cool is that."

And not for nothing.. SN is not just a line from A to B. There are many miles of trails in that area that go off in all sorts of area. From behind the hospital emergency room to feet from the apartments. There are trails there 99% of you never see.
Also if anything is going away its gonna be the trails north of the jumps , outside of that church property.

quote post="23890" timestamp="1573152006" name="crazyt" userid="69"] is that because giro is part of vista outdoor which sells guns?

at the risk of being compared to someone who always posts links... here is a link.

Vista sold their gun component of their company.

  3. I'm by no means against this lifestyle
For me personally I think this is something that can be done in moderation. With my BBQ and ice cream. Not a thing wrong with vegeys and meat and fruit and limited intake of sugars and processed shit food.

It has not been debunked at all.

My wife and I found that show pretty intriguing. I am a firm believer in pay the farmer or pay the doctor. I find nothing wrong in the message the movie gives.

I dont give a shit if they did or did not cherry pick their arguments. The idea of eating healthy is not wrong. I by no means will give up my Hagen Daz or BBQ but it has definitively been taken in moderation. Vegeys and fruits have been increased over the years.

I havent drank since 92, I havent smoke cigarettes since 98. But no way am I giving up BBQ and ice cream. Oh,, And no more strippers . Damn.

  5. Had my first proper trail ride in 4 months today. Rode Picnic and then rode the trail along the creek to get over to Peddlers. Felt really good on Peddlers and probably could have pushed it even harder but I proceeded cautiously. Put in a second lap for good measure. Stalled getting up out of the creek on the first lap but cured that the second time around. Overall I didn't feel like I was missing much on those two laps, in terms of either strength or stability. Tested my lungs pretty well too on the second lap as a couple of riders were coming up behind me and I didn't feel like getting passed. Figure I'll use Picnic and Peddlers as my training ground for a couple of weeks to see how I progress but it felt soooo nice to be out riding and PP was in superb condition.
So glad to see your are bouncing back. I know it's not your preferred style but SN is alot of good rolling miles. Easy 10 to 15 miles. That will be a good Christmas present for yourself getting back to your beloved DD rides

  6. Where in the hell is that jump line?!?
Did 20 miles out at Brushy today..  Didn't see anything new in the Suburban Ninja area, but didn't really explore beyond what I normally ride there.

  7. I think the big advantage is not getting pinch flats.. not getting flats basically at all like the days of tubes. On one bike I have there are no less than 13 punctures on the rear but no flatting . I basically want to see how far I can push that tire. Try that with tubeless. You cant.
I'll top off with air and then every few months add some Orange Sealant and that tire keeps rolling.
I like tinkering anyways so the little work involved in a tubeless setup is not a big deal. Tubes were a pain sometimes.
But pulling a valve.. filling it up is no big deal.
Setting the new tires are what sucks to me but that was using tubes or tubeless.

  8. I found out the hard way orange seal does not like to be installed with the syringe. All the little particles of confetti/glitter stuff rushes to the valvestem and clogs the hose just as you're giving it a good push and blows the hose off. The resulting cleanup required was nothing short of a snuff film gone wrong.
True. I just know when I use the syringe that I 1st clear the valve before I try to load the Orange Seal in. It makes sense the liquid would find it's way to the valve.

  9. I was just out there on the gravel bike doing some BCRT riding. If you saw a crazy person with zebra pants, that was me. Saw a few bikes coming out of the trails, didn't seem to have muddy tires.
    Zebra pants and full face?
