Probably 1 or 2 wheel barrows worth of soil needed.

Saw this announcement regarding Carol Lee Preserve in my neighborhood paper. Hopefully, this doesn't mean a fence is in the future.

Article says, Not a public park. Will be able to get guided hikes and have volunteer opportunities. damn
How much longer can it be ridden?

Main SJ trail was good. Didn't do any of the loops.

Glad that I'm from that area. Thankful that I don't live in that area.

Funny how people think Apple invented this this, but they stole the interface from Creative. In fact, they paid $100,000,000.00 to creative for it.
Apple pays $100m to settle Creative lawsuit over iPod menus
Things really aren't going Apple's way just at the moment. It's having to restate its earnings going back some time because there are queries about some of its stock options having been backdated; iPod sales fell quarter-on-quarter; and now, it's decided not to fight Creative Labs in the lawsuit that the latter brought alleging that the iPod's menu system infringed Creative's patent, filed a few months before the first iPod appeared.
Apple had originally aimed to fight fire with fire, launching a series of lawsuits against Creative in response to the first. However, Creative became increasingly inventive in the legal row, escalating it to the level where Apple might have been unable to import the product into the US. That, of course, might have affected sales ever so slightly.
Now, it's over, and Creative is $100m richer and gets some bragging rights. From Reuters:
Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs said the agreement ends five lawsuits between the companies "and removes the uncertainty and distraction of prolonged litigation."
Still have a Creative Nomad.

Just saw and heard a big branch go down on my neighbor's house. I think things are going to be pretty bad. Move cars, be prepared for power outages, etc. The trails will of course need some work once this crap passes too. ☹️
Trail gnomes need to use the down time to sharpen saws and loppers. There's gonna be a lot of work to do.

Hey yall I am hoping to get my very own gravel bike in Feb/March. Are there any groups/trails that you would recommend?
Don't know of any particular group. Here's a good resource:
I ride in the RR area if you want a multi-surface tour.

**UPDATE Recent Fences/trail closures at Brushy Creek and the Williamson County Southwest Regional Park**.
1. The cedar fence placed near the "YMCA waterfall" was required after a dam inspection by the TCEQ. The hiking trail leading to the area below the waterfall was never designed to be there. The erosion it is causing raised concerns about future dam integrity, so the TCEQ required a fence be placed blocking the trail.
2. The County will be building a fence blocking the new unsanctioned dangerous "drop in" on picnic next to the footbridge. ARR Trail Stewards and volunteers have been trying to block it with brush, but people keep unblocking it. The County in coordination with ARR have agreed to block it permanently with a fence.
3. The unsanctioned MTB trails at the Williamson County Southwest Regional Park were recently fenced off. This happened following an inspection by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife dept. During their inspection they found endangered species and endangered habitat. They required the area to be fenced off.
What new areas have been blocked off at SW Wilco? I hiked a bunch on Sunday and don't recall seeing anything new blocked off.

In my limited experience. Tire presssure had more impact on speed.
