  1. I don't think it's that Presidio development, as that appears to be south of Ranch Trails road, and it looks like it was built in the 2018 time-frame.  Here's an article from 2016 with a map:

    https://cedarparktxliving.com/presidio-cedar-park/

The article doesn't state 2016, but the image was taken in 2016 if you believe the filename:

If you look on Google Maps, this development basically looks complete, the only difference is they didn't build office space all the way down to the area in orange, but other than that it's spot on.  Now, it's always possible they plan on expanding this further east, but I've seen nothing that suggests that on the Presidio website linked in a previous post.

Having been out on Suburban Ninja twice in the last ten days, they are aggressively attacking cedar in the Hawg Jaw and surrounding areas.  Most of that seems to have nothing to do with the concrete path that's being built, just looks like they are clearing land for the sake of clearing land, what one would expect if it's about to be developed.

If nothing comes up I'll plan to join you for a lap. I need more excuses to ride rather than work on trail. 😁

The only thing I have planned Friday is watching the second Starship orbital test flight. Launch window is 2 hours, starting at 0700.

Would be great to have someone to ride with!  Yeah, the OFT2 launch is an absolute must watch for me.  I'm actually considering driving down to Starbase.  But if not, I hope it goes up in the morning so I can ride in the afternoon.  I'll let you know what I end up doing.

  3. Great updates, thank you!  I had planned on going out there yesterday to take advantage of the beautiful weather (and figured it should have been dry enough), but discovered right before loading my bike onto my car that my rear brake wasn't working at all (lever all the way to the handlebar with no movement of calipers).  Was able to get it fixed, but not with enough time to head out to Smithville, so that will need to wait for another day.  Ended up riding Suburban Ninja instead. Look forward to soon enjoying everything out there and seeing everything new since my last visit!

There are several downed trees\branches on Lake Georgetown between Cedar Breaks and Tejas.  Whose permission\blessing do I need to clear this section?

Just read the post above and its sounds like Lee Compton is the guy to talk to.  Can someone PM his info?

    He's on Facebook:

That's a rather big section.  😄  I will send him a text and let him know, but if you want to do the work yourself, I'm sure he'd be happy to have the help, as long as you prune any branches down to their base and don't leave stumps.  And if you intend on using power tools, you'd definitely want to talk to him first.  Of course, you probably already know this.

  5. Yep, I completely missed this, as I was gone for two weeks and just got back Saturday night and have been super busy unpacking and getting things set back up so I can work.  Only knew this because someone mentioned it in a comment on Facebook!
