  1. I’ve got a problem with you throwing all cops into the corrupt agency pool. How many LE people do you know? How many stories have you heard first hand about the way the public abuses them? What have your experiences been with LE? How do you feel when people put all mountain bikers in the dope smoking, reckless riding, rude category? I’m married to someone in LE. Another recently lived with us. Needless to say, we have many friends in LE and I’m gonna tell you that these are good people that went into law enforcement for ALL THE RIGHT REASONS. We’re fucked without law enforcement. Prove me wrong.
  2. Looking for a great single speed? I’m selling my Jabber; medium frame, WTB Pure V saddle, Hope brakes, Ergon grips, Truvativ bar, Race Face crank, 32 X 18 gearing, Stan’s ZTR Flow wheels. The rear has been recently rebuilt with a new Stan’s hub, new Vittoria Morsa rear, Morsa front, Thompson stem and seatpost, and Rock Shox Reba rebuilt to Sid specs. This is a great bike, and I’m only selling it because I bought another Vassago. $1500 locally.
  3. Anyone been on it In the last few days?
  4. I agree with tree magnet and Mack turtle. The talk about not riding muddy trails and how to educate others has taken on a life of its own more than once. Addressing the issue directly with those who choose to ignore it needs to happen.
  5. Contact Hank’s. As Carl said, he’s a fellow mountain biker and an overall good dude.
  6. Great conditions yesterday. A few tacky spots, but no mud on Bambi, disc go, fence line out to Bear Lake. Bernia was fine, took Firehouse back and it was tacky up top but nothing stuck, no ruts. Terminus, E Spank, home, all good.
  7. I’m planning on heading out after work and will report back
  8. I think he was banned in the first week or two of this site going live.
  9. We’re good friends. He knows that so many people don’t understand that he’s being sarcastic and poking the bears. Hanging out with him is a hoot, traveling is even more fun! He’ll tell the pups to stay on the porch if they can’t run with the big dogs, and he backs his shit up.
  10. That’s too bad, it’s always a fun event. I liked the option of letting ARR use our registration fees for helping the cause, especially if it gets kids on bikes.
  11. Jackie here, and yes it was a blast. Andy and I didn’t start until almost 9 and only had minutes to spare to make the cutoff time. In my opinion, the trails were great! We were determined to complete all three loops while still having a good time, not getting hurt, and enjoying the day. We succeeded on all fronts and enjoyed the festivities afterwards. I can’t speak to the turnout, but the after party seemed well attended. Thanks for creating such a great place for us old dudes to play, and for the new members of the tribe to cut their teeth. Truly a blessing. (Especially for us single speeders!)
  12. Your dogs give you the stink eye and get frustrated on their walk because you can’t help but do trail maintenance.
