  1. This year marks my 60th spin around the sun and I was planning to do 60 miles on a single speed to commemorate it. Now I have the perfect opportunity!
  2. Keeping the bike, no longer for sale
  3. Big price drop. First one with $1050 can ride away with this great bike
  4. And..........I've got my Jabberwocky back on the market with a huge price drop. I'll let it go to a good home for $1050.
  5. I'm selling my Eddy Merckx CX bike and you can see the listing here. https://austin.craigslist.org/bik/d/austin-eddy-merckx-cx-bike/7315472214.html Really the only reason is because I don't ride it enough to hang on to it, and bikes deserve to be ridden and enjoyed. If you're thinking about checking out the gravel scene, this would be a great way to start.
  6. DAMN!!! You even got the obscure Napoleon Dynamite reference. Now that’s truly impressive. It also begs the question...........did you vote for Pedro?
  7. Last night I spent a few hours working in the greenbelt. If you want to see where, so we don’t duplicate efforts, it’s simply my name, Jackie Westbrook. Lots of people have pitched in proving once again that the local MTB community is a strong one. Makes me happy to be part of it.
  8. I’m not on Facebook but there’s supposed to be a SATN page that is being monitored with updates. Lots of good folks have been clearing trails and keeping the trail master updated so we don’t duplicate efforts
  9. Mark Henneke was responsible for working with the city, designing, and building much of Walnut Creek. He’s an amazing guy, and 20 years ago had thousands of hours of trail work under his belt. If you ride up there you’re enjoying his vision.
  10. I rode up Rudolph this morning just to check the conditions/sabotage. I cleared two rocks at the north end, but the south end was in bad shape. Multiple rocks, the cedar that someone keeps dragging across the trail, another smaller cedar and lots of small brush. I’m wondering if there is a homeless camp in there and they don’t want anyone going thru there. Like the rest of y’all, I just don’t understand why this one section is such an affront to that “special“ person.
  11. I think we’re talking about two different spots. We put one big rock back like it was, but didn’t add a pile of rocks. Bottom line is, I’m tired of people changing an existing trail because it’s too hard for them. Walk, practice or go home. I’m still challenged every time I’m out there and my ego doesn’t prohibit me from walking a section. It blows me away that someone would be dumb/bold/callous (insert derogatory adjective) enough to go out and fuck the trails up. I’m not okay with that, nor are any of the guys that I ride with. All of us have considered the BCGB our favorite local playground for over 20 years. Thanks for the feedback
  12. No, we didn’t take any photos. If you’re familiar with Hammerhead Gulch you’ll be able to spot the damage done and our attempt at repair. Some of the other sanitizing we blocked off. If people can’t ride what’s there they should practice or walk. Or ride somewhere else that’s less challenging.
  13. I’m ready to, but opted for a PC post hoping that someone would help these people get their head out of their ass.
