  1. this also interests me pretty well because of the proximity to my dads's property. I would be down do build some trail out there in a heartbeat. maybe I willl contact them and see what they say. I know for sure they know exactly who my dad is, long stories short.
  2. no, not a trap. so you wanna fix these mccleods or not? let me know if your interested in helping. if not its fine but let me know asap because I have lots of work to do and need to decide how im gonna get these tools back in action asap
  3. my dad lives literally on the other side of the fence of McKinney roughs. the zip line shuttle service uses his road that goes down to the Colorado river. I forwarded him your review. he laughed and said that he was glad he read it. he said he is gonna get horse instead of a bike. (sarcasm) lol
  4. we don't use these mcleods to do a lot of striking hard objects. we use pick axes for that. if striking with mcleods its usually a plant or something, chopping it out of the ground. but I get what you're saying. although metal handles with a good weld (bamwa makes a good job) would be a permanent solution. because at the rate im building out there, the wooden replacements are gonna break again too and I'll be back to square one. these 3 mcleods only lasted like 6-8 months all together
  5. Bamwa, I'll keep your real name secret from the underworld, and the old minions of mojo who has crossed the cyber sea to voyage and conquest new online domains and forums.... I need thou to resurrect the spirits of these 3 fallen mcleods, and transform them into dragon slaying excaliber-caliber trail weapons once more! once thee were laid with weak wooden shafts, which surrendered and turn flaccid during battle at cat mountain, after slaving forth and back in and out for many a day lad.... I want you to use both fire and lightning to forge steel handles into unity with these blades of glory! shoot thy a text with your dragon bone T9 flip phone, dawg
  6. pM me. I'll get you taken care of! depending on application, like +/- $85. downtube and rear triangle
  7. the ONEUP dropper post is absolutely fantastic! I cant think of a single thing I dont like about it. it's <$200, light weight, super quick up and down, cable actuated (with wolftooth remote is primo) just feels nice in quality, and is ultra easy to install and service. I would recommend this ONE UP dropper to anyone and all of my bike will be getting these once the reverbs die rock shot "crash replacement" (out of warranty) replacement cost is like $250. just get a one up for ssuuurrrreeeee
  8. daaaamn that sucks! how does that even happen? never had that issue before day went really good! excellent turnout. plan on doing more of these
  9. thank you both. so he apparently isnt in the office today so I will speak with him and get back to everyone! keeps the options coming! thanks
  10. interested for sure. can you send me pics. I will talk to him today when he comes in the office. I'll need to look at the numbers about that medium frame. he is like 5' 11" - 6'
  11. hey everyone just like the title says, I have a co worker that would ride a large frame looking for a starter mountain bike. budget is like $500 maybe he would budge a bit more. let me know what ya'll have!
  12. man I had a great day but crashed on the last stage full commando. hit a rock that completely just stopped my bike and I went OTB, was fine but jumped up and finished the stage with crooked stem/handlebars. I got 8th/30 with a crash. I'll take that. was a super fun event regardless! doesnt get much funner than the texas enduro scene yeah, I dont wanna name them because they are a great company that makes great products, and I have a buddy who works for them. crazy stuff just happens sometimes. I will still continue to rock their stuff. this was more of a display of the buckner beatdown saga rather than the integrity of their products. they make nice parts, and are handling it gracefully 🙂
  13. thanksgiving weekend Cat Mtn group ride on Saturday! looks like a crew from houston is coming up to Austin... invite your homies lets assemble and big group and shred!

  15. I can make some sweet kydex down tube and rear triangle protection for that bike. the black would look great against that light frame too!
  16. is this still available? what size is it? not for me but I know people who should/would be interested.
  17. Happened on Friday at practice at RPR for the enduro. 34t oval. Name brand chainring. Never hit a rock. Shifted to hardest gear in beginning of “right flow” stage, cranks locked up, almost went OTB, saved it and looked down to that 90* bend They are warrantying it. The manufacturer hypothesis is that maybe my chain started to come off the top of the chainring right as I shifted to the hardest gear and then as I cranked, the Chainline being to the hardest gear on the cassette just folded the ring laterally outward. Crazy! But I had extra chainrings at home so I was able to get back in business before the race. What a kick ass event! Texas enduro Cup Reveille Peak Ranch is one of the best
