As far as bike shops @olddbrider Spin City shop was probably the first shop I got to really know who ran it.  It was roughly half way home on my commute and more than once I would swing in for a 10 min tweak or replace a tube.  Just recently closed Southwest Cycles were good people that always took care of me.  I really miss Drew from Revolution Cycles but hes doing pretty dang well in Bentonville so good for him.

Yeah, that was my "local" bike shop since it was about 3 blocks from my house.  Always cruised over to buy what I needed from them as much as possible.

Demos are all free.  I just require a credit card preAuthorization of 3k to take it for a few days so you can get a couple rides on it.

Don't do it!  I ended up with a Devinci Troy after a "demo" ride😉😁

Seriously - Give Velo a ring - they will hook you up.

At first I was happy to see people getting off the couch and using the trails. Now I'm over it. For the first time I made a conscious decision to avoid all the brushy trails Sunday morning, just to avoid people😢

Yeah, I rode there on Sunday, and encountered at least 25 bikers on Deception.  I love to see more people out on bikes, but the trails are getting destroyed.  Brushy has almost every technical section widened and blown out as people decide to bypass.  Sad.

  4. Two story.  Kids' bedrooms upstairs, so no sun heating.  Garage door has insulation for winter, but keep it open for summer.  Have a cheap ceiling fan above the workbench/bike shop, and have a box fan on a rolling fixture with extra long cord if I need to move it around to where I'm working at the time.  Yeah, I sweat, but I sweat bourbon and hops, so not a bad combo to smell like😁

  5. I have heard of a way to connect those from a previous trail gnome who jumps onto 178.  I am thinking about pulling together a "north" EB.  Include:

All of Brushy trails, Behrens, Wilco, Suburban, and Crystal Falls.  Trying to work out how to string them together using the brushy trail and 183A trail network while trying not to hit 1431/Ronald Reagan/etc.

I know Barry has done this and more (adding in lake Georgetown), but I don't drink enough Bourbon for that.
