  1. I am not a fan of their user interface. What is your USAC number? I will check and see if you are listed on the roster. If you are, you should be good to go.
  2. https://legacy.usacycling.org/register/2019-141 Registration is now live for the 90 miles of rocky hell.
  3. you are the first person to ask something like this. Let me check the rules. Wait... I make the rules. Sure ride whatever the hell bike you want - just no Ebikes. I am wondering if anyone has the balls to ride it at threshold effort on a cross bike.
  4. They have to register first. To date I have ONE person registered for tandem. get off the fence people. You will get splinters!
  5. EnduraRace is pleased to welcome TEXAS Air Conditioning & Heating as the headline sponsor for the Full Gas on Peddler's Pass time trial. Marc Cook, the owner of Texas A/C & Heating and avid MTB racer, repaired my A/C unit last year. He was honest, fast, and undercut the competition by hundred$. By the way, if you have not signed up for the race, now is the time. The race is only five weeks away! https://legacy.usacycling.org/myusac/index.php… https://www.facebook.com/Texasacandheating/
  6. People need to actually register too. I have one tandem racer registered. Which is odd unless he is rolling with no stoker.
  7. Joe, He sent out an email to a handful of team leaders and assigned each team with a series of tasks. The project management is strong with that one (Ronan).
  8. Valid question! The person staging the racers at the start will endeavor to put the fastest riders in front and make sure there is a good gap between the last riders and the fast ones on their second lap The endeavor is for race staff to manage the starting order as best as possible so racers will not have to deal much with traffic Right now, we are looking at having way less than the 400 rider cap so we could have gaps of 1 minute or more. There will be room in most cases for a quick pass. The rule will be to yield to a faster rider ASAP and no headphones.
  9. Just what is a dirt time trial at Peddlers Pass going to be like as a racer? Read on to find out! First off, register online to skip that time consuming (and higher priced) process at the event. Show up well ahead of your race time and pick up your packet. If you are early enough you will have a chance for a sighting lap of the closed-course, 2.7+ mile, 161 corner track. Then if you have time remaining, get a few miles of warming up on the lake trail and make your final preparations. You’ll want to ride light and fast so maybe forgo carrying anything for each of your 15-25 minute laps. Then it works a lot like Enduro. You will line up with other riders in your category and race the course one at a time with at least a 30 second gap between other racers. You will finish your lap and should be able to see your time within minutes. Go have a beer and BS with your pals then get back in line and hit it again. Then once more for three total runs. Two runs for juniors. Your times will be added up and lowest aggregated time wins. We will count your fastest two laps (one for juniors) while dropping the slowest so you if you bin it on one of your laps, it’s not a podium killer. Prizes and podium photos happen soon after the final racer in your category is done with their last lap. Then the fun starts all over again for the next category of racers. Prizes: Minimum payouts for 1st place in each of the three overall adult categories is $80 cash and will cap at $160 for a sold-out event. Women score the same amount of cash as the guys. The payouts taper off down to three deep. We may be able go deeper to 5th place if the event sells out. Some folks have ponied up some donations to pay out cash for fastest Tandem bike team. All age group and tandem podiums get trophies three deep so even if you are not fast enough for an overall category win, you can still take home a trophy. After your race is over, go hit the other area trails with your pals- they are incredible. 10. Oh and I need a tandem team with bike for a shoot on 5/3 for a promotional video. Maybe 1-2 hours tops. Any takers? You will be forever ensconced in glory on the Inter-webs. And you might score beer too.
  11. The a-frame bridges and rollers will be interesting. Some have a B-line and others may require a carefully orchestrated dismount and remount CX style. Those are where I’ll have my trail cams installed.
  12. 161 corners per lap that require some measure of steering input and body English. It’s like the Nuremberg Ring for MTB.
  13. By the way, we are going to fit the tandems in between the juniors and cat 3’s. So anyone wanting to race solo as well can also hit the tandems first.
  14. This was the hardest I’ve laughed in days.
  15. As has been said - trail is the same. It will however give faster times and be an even better experience to ride after KOM is done.
  16. Pace Bend dries out fast. Race with confidence.
  17. No one has had the ballz to actually register in the tandem category yet, so at this point everyone is all talk and no go.
  18. Sign up for three chip timed runs to see your times for sure. Also you could win stuff.
  19. Make the race a goal and work towards it. It’s 11-12 weeks away. Between now and then your fitness could do a complete 180.
  20. https://www.facebook.com/events/443522663065492/ You can now sign up for a cornering clinic if you are registered.
  21. One thing I am planning on doing ahead of the race, probably late April or into May, is put on a cornering clinic free for registered racers on a first come basis. I can help guys struggling to find some speed to cut a lot of time for less effort. I’ll have some sort of sign up later for it and will post here before the list goes live.
