Yeah, I'll give you a holler but it will depend on timing. For the rest of this month I am still on partial lockdown from the wife's surgery so I can't ride with anyone until next month. Also, being an international man of leisure means that my ride will probably be in the middle of the week some time. You around during the weekend? It's been forever since we've ridden together.
Covid schedule. I can make a mid-day/week with some notice. Yes Sir, it's been a while.
We could knock out Behrens and Wilco SW Regional Park if interested. 18-20 miles, total.

Made my first night lap out there. No mtn lion, just a couple rabbits and a big hog.

I kind of feel like SubNinja, WilCo and Behrens are a bit of SATN style trails on the north side. Having nice ways to link them together that avoids dangerous roads is helpful. So thanks particularly for the first link. I've tried and failed previously to find something like that. But I'll use your route next time to stay on the right path.
And speaking of linking things together, this ride shows a couple of interesting routes originally put together by @schoolie. First off, like I mentioned, the culvert path from Behrens to WilCo is super cool. But this route also shows a great way to get from Anderson Mill to Brushy.
FYI. On the S. Side of 1431, from Sam Bass ride up near the fence/tree drip line until you get to CR 178 (abandoned). Follow 178 back around to 1431. From there ride the grass to the Apartments. Sidewalk and concrete to trail head.

What time were you out there when you saw it?
-
Thanks Barry. Had no idea there was that much to ride to the West of 183.
I got some Exploring to do.
-
The south side of 1431 from Sam Bass to the abandoned CR is rideable. Grassy, but rideable.

Park at Walnut Creek. Or Brushy Creek I suppose if time is a factor.
It is easy to link Brushy to Behrens then to SW Regional Park back to Brushy.

Would like to set up a game camera to see if I can get a picture of the mountain lion I’m pretty sure I saw out there tonight!
Dang. I've seen turkey, fox, tarantulas, snakes, but no mtn lion. Better keep my eyes open on my next lap.
Where do you think I saw it?
-
Yes. Main SN trail goes from Red Horn to Kati Lane.
There are four off shoots. 3 will bring you back to the main trail. 1 is a short Lollipop loop. These are generally by the creek.
From SN, you can access some single/double track behind Christ Church.
I'm usually about 11-12 miles riding SN and Christ Church trails.

While you're up there, Lindsay and Faulkner parks have trails as well.

Been scouring through all of these comments and searching online all day yesterday because I have the time.
I think the Smith Venture is going to be the winner. At $110 its at a great price point for a MIPS helmet, its lightweight, has 20 vents, and gets decent reviews. Thanks everyone for your input.
Looks good in the Matte Gravy and Matte Sage colors.

I'm 2 rides into a Smith Venture MIPS
Like it so far. Good fit. Seems like good ventilation.

Barry, where was your gravel grinder at?

Even better:
We were at Palo Duro Canyon riding. Met up with a bunch of girls from Dallas, Olkerhom was trying to hit on them. Mentioned we were from Austin and they said "oh man, we saw this video of a guy in Austin going over the bars..."
<cue the record scratch>
"Yeah, that was me."
Classic moment. If I had not see it live I would never have believed the story.
I second AB on this.
