  1. Church Hill (Hill of despair) is likely still a muddy mess as the water is seeping out of the ground and making most of the hill a soup.
  2. This and every Sunday morning for many weeks. A concerted effort is needed to repair the many areas damaged by wet trail use the past four months: https://www.meetup.com/mountainbikes-130/events/ftnmpqyzcbrb/
  3. Was at WC all day today Installing signs. Some areas that are exposed to the sun and wind are drying out, but many areas are still very muddy. To avoid further damage to the trails, please avoid the Main Creek Crossing, Church Hill, Mark's Art, Windy Loop, BMX and probably some other flat or shady sections we did not check out today.
  4. Please stay off when trails look like that. If tires are leaving Mark's they are damaging the trail
  5. Thanks. That means a lot to me. It's regular concerted efforts that make a difference over time.
  6. We will do whatever type of trail maintenance is appropriate for conditions.
  7. Absolutely. Kids are the future of mountain biking and trail stewardship. They are absolutely encouraged to attend (with guardian). We will make sure they have a great experience.
  8. Rain gotcha down? We know you want to ride! ARR is here to help: https://www.meetup.com/mountainbikes-130/events/tghfpqyzcbjb/
  9. IMBA recently revamped their Local Services program based on a feedback initiative with local clubs. As of July, ARR signed an new agreement with IMBA which changed our relationship from Chapter to Affiliate Co-Branded. IMBA's cut of dues was reduced to a membership processing fee of $15/member.
  10. Amazing opportunity to gain first hand knowledge: TheAustin Mountain Bikers Meetup Group http://meetu.ps/e/GcdVs/KbCt/d
  11. One more very important note. This applies to everyone. When we ride, build and maintain trails in very popular public parks, we have the responsibility to share the trails. A family with a toddler and dog in tow have as much right to enjoy the trail and nature as any of us do and we need to (and most of us do) conduct ourselves accordingly.
  12. And yes, we need help with websites, putting on the PBR race and many other things. The needs are great. Thanks
  13. New blood, new ideas and all help appreciated. btw, we are digging Sunday and most Sundays for the past couple months. We get a great dedicated core of awesome folks, but could definitely use more help: We are also working on a new trail. It will be fairly beginner, intermediate level. There are a lot of beginner/intermediate riders who need places to ride,
  14. Might be TxDOT or CTMRA.. Was built as part of Mopac toll lane project, but COA maybe. 311?
  15. Any recent reports on trail conditions at WC???. Planning a recon ride at 3pm.
  16. Yes, you can ride to Point Six and Log Loop via the concrete trail. The signing project is in-progress. The map on the kiosk is up to date.
  17. Point Six is green as is Inner Log Loops and a couple sections of Severe Consequenses Loop.
  18. The ARR Trail Crew really needs YOUR help. The needs are great and we need a lot of people to get everything done. Dig for three short hours, then ride with pride! 🙂 RSVP here:
