  1. Great race and event @Seths Pool! Wish I could have done the last stage. I was the guy who came up a hair short on the road gap on 8 Seconds and washed out on landing. Got back to Austin and breathing was still hard AF so I got checked out and it turns out I have a broken lower right rib! First race, first rib break. I’ll be back to get the landing right.
  2. Anyone going out possibly Thursday Or Friday to ride? Thinking of playing hookie and getting a preview of the trails. I’m traveling the week before so I’m running thin on pre-game opportunity.
  3. @crazyt Glad you’re riding again cause I thought you abandoned us for those mmas 😉
  4. I was looking for a race to work toward and this looks awesome. I'm not pro, and newb AF with racing. I'm not sure if I should sign up for beginner or the age brackets - what's the difference if any? Can you go into the format a bit @Seths Pool? Are folks shuttled to the top of each line? What's the distance covered for the beginner bracket vs the age brackets vs pro? Would you need any hardware for time keeping? Are there more information treasures revealed once you sign up? And feel free to point me to a website and say "RTFM." I checked https://banderabike.com/ and didn't see it mentioned or details so that's why I'm asking here.
  5. Thanks for the tips - I'll give it a go. Thanks!
  6. Welllllp... I found my purple Hope Tech E4 rear brake turned soft after some idle time, but not until after I got them routed and mounted on my new steed.. I'm looking to possibly borrow or purchase (if you're looking to sell) a bleed kit for Hope brakes. I'd really love to run across a Hope Easy Bleed Kit if someone has one that's not in use, but Hope brake bleed adapters in general will garnish praise and cash if you're into that sort of thing. I can meet wherever if you're willing to help me out! Hoping (no pun intended) to get this sorted out before I select "Edit > Undo" but regardless I need to get the thing bled regardless of what steed it's on. (last time I do a just-before-ride "hmm I should totally put those on this bike...this won't take long.." move.. 🤦🏻‍♂️)
  7. Everything I saw on walnut today around noon to 2pm was dry except for some small spots at creek-ish level. I did note that there are some really bad ruts (it's been a year since I rode there) and a lot of used-to-be-rough-but-mostly-flat surfaces seemed overly pitted. In any case, after the downpour this evening, there's more than likely a good amount of standing water.
