  1. Drainage was brought up with Wilco when the development started and it was quite obvious the developer was causing erosion on the park property. Wilco said they complained and warned the developer. I honestly don't think much more will be done about it. I'm sure, since it's COA the requisite grey area/run off containment areas are in place, but the yards are still creating more water than nature was. I personally, don't find riding the ditch all that exciting with the exception of the very top canyon area which I love, but I am not losing much of my 'riding experience' by not being able to ride the ditch more frequently. I personally miss the ability to ride the good ol' campfire loop more than being able to ride the ditch more frequently. Feel free to contact the HOA or post fliers in the neighborhood, but the people watering lawns care about their lawns and not the trails, my grumpy old man mind says no one will listen/care.
  2. IMO, though appreciated, I think it's inappropriate and possibly a violation for you to install an unauthorized game cam. Leave that to ARR/Wilco. If this situation persists (obviously this is a very new development and may die quickly) then we will consider it. We have them available. Thanks
  3. Yea, I did not mean to say I could see Tesla doing this sort of thing, but you never know. Regarding Tesla maintenance and TCO they seem pretty damn awesome, a Model 3 may be in my wife's future. There's a pretty good video comparing a Model # to an Accord and BMW 330i, comparing the TCO with 'relatively comparable' vehicles ~$10K above and ~$10K below.
  4. I wouldn't put anything past an automaker...with JD pulling shit like this...I mean farmers probably contributed more improvement to tractors and farming equipment than engineers. https://theamericangenius.com/business-news/farmers-cant-legally-fix-their-own-john-deere-tractors-due-to-copyright-laws/
  5. The addition of Pre-plunge is the major reroute since the earliest days, that added just over a half mile, that is how we brought you Spongebob 😉 The trail has gotten much more difficult and slower IMO, maybe peeps cheated a bit back then as well, but we never had "shortcuts" or reroutes for people to follow, we built from point A to B. Hmm...funny, "Speedkiller" minor reroute doesn't show up as the official route, Strava's algorithm hasn't identified it's enough deviation to change the route. Speedkiller was one of our early helper's re-interpretation of how I flagged the trail, they took it upon themselves to add curves in lieu of the fast route that allows you to fly and drop a section vs crawl through. I quickly rerouted it.
  6. Leave it open, it's like EBD. It's been there long enough it really doesn't matter. I am fine with both lines remaining. They are both far enough in the trail and challenging enough that I can see the need.
  7. I can believe times like that from Matt, Dave, AJ, I am sure there are others. Dismount Spongebob E-W? You don't mean W-E? C'mon, if you have gotten that far you can easily roll it, give it a try, I bet you can easily do it. Albert, it's the rock that looks like Spongebob, duh. It's a ledge to a slope to a flat dry creek face:
  8. This plus V8 (US GX has the 470 = 4.7L, 460 = 4.6L, LX 570 and LC = 5.7L, LX was a 470 until 2008 I believe).
  9. Love my Dakine Hot Laps. Just take a little acclimation, then you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner. I definitely prefer it tight and have adjust as I consumer the water, this keeps it pretty much 'invisible' to me.
  10. Looks like a kit Factory Five would put together with a "donor" Tacoma.
  11. If one got a Toyota 5.7 for the MPG one made the wrong choice. Frankly, it's refreshing to see the LX outfitted a bit more akin to its capabilities instead of being so sterile. These things are ridiculously capable off road. I see a bullet proof Toyota that will last as long as you put forth marginal effort in maintenance and care 😉 I'm inquiring because I am considering this gen LX or LC, but have concerns with the AHC suspension of the LX.
  12. Anyone's or anyone you know? Have questions. Specifically regarding the lift and AHC. Is that just at the factory max height or is it a lift? TIA
  13. Ha. Good luck with finding any.
  14. Like Ronan, said, Wilco tolerates us, because we forced the trails on them and the County Commissioner jumped on board. The current Wilco Parks Superintendent is not opposed to the trail, but he is not welcoming of change in many cases. I think they look at additional trail as additional work for them despite the county putting in a fraction of a percentage on the maintenance of the trails and ZERO money beside a few man hours and equipment on the very rare occasions. Slowly but sure we hope to change this and get more trail. Regarding Peddlers, it's not my bag, I rarely ride it, so I don't have much feedback. What I do love is the new jump line by the bridge, the spacing and height, IMO is perfect. I like a lot of the berms and dislike others, I dislike a lot of the dips, but I understand they need to be there. I'm just not a fan and that's OK, I can ride other things instead of riding PP and bitching about it. I don't see the point in riding a trail you don't like. That said, I can't wait to shred Peddlers on my dirt bike after the next downpour, that should really help bed in the tread! @First Blood I told you that was @AustinBike when we passed him right by PP entry.
  15. There is a complete loop, that includes the dry section of the creek. The dead end on the cliff will continue and connect to the sidewalk on 1431, then there will likely be an expansion on the park property on the east side of Brushy Creek...and finally a trail to my back yard just another .5 mile away.
  16. Cool. Double Down East to West pics: 1. Yes, Ray's Collarbone 2. I can't click on it to isolate the pic, too close to the other 2 3. The Cradle 4. Satellite 5. Yes, The Grotto 6. Yes, TorD 7. Yes, The Wall 8. Swashbuckler 9. No name little ledge on a 90 within the UFL (Upper Fence Line).
  17. It was really cool doing this. I started following Brian when he had just started his channel. Then one day he posted a VLOG basically saying, "I'm quitting my job to do YouTube mtb full time." He's done pretty done well. Signed, "One-take Burns" as they call me now 😉
  18. I think "Trails Open" and "Trails Closed due to wet conditions" will suffice, but bravo on the suggestions.
  19. I need to talk with Kent @cxagent and Charlie @Chardog about this...but I got the Wilco go-ahead for signage at the kiosks. Ronan @HoneyBadger is planning to talk with Cedar Park about possibly adding signs to the parking lots. My thought is to have a sign for each kiosk (even Swag since users can come up the bailout) and the sign to either be: 1) Trails Open on one side, Trails Close on the other and flip it accordingly - locked into place 2) Sign locked on the back of the kiosk and out of site until needed and then locked onto the front of the kiosk as needed Wilco officials response: "The example photo you attached was very helpful. Signs on kiosks OK – gate structures not OK. (I never asked for or suggested gates, in fact I recommended that they were not worth the cost and effort) We have no objection if the signs are installed & effectively managed by you/ARR (e.g. costs, materials, labor, changing status of signs, etc.) and the Parks Department is not inundated with upset contacts from single-track users. We would need to re-visit if problems arise with this approach. Thanks for your efforts on the single-track sections of trail."
  20. I saw some pics on the FBooks and it looked good to go, but I always advise people to ride Peddler's no matter what, it's best when it's super soupy. Keeps Ronan busy too.
  21. Appreciated, donate to ARR if you want, they have a budget for us these days...I am just usually too lazy to file an expense report for reimbursement... though, I will be soon for the new Lloyd Bridge I will be building.
