  1. Has anyone ridden up that way W-E? I've hit the drop at really high speed but always bitch out when it comes time to pull for the step up.
  2. Wow. Jammer definitely doesn't look like that anymore. It looks like the drop and immediate step up at the start of the hollows didn't exist back then? Or did these guys just prefer to go through the skinny/rooty section?
  3. Is Jammer the tall rock feature going E-W right after that off camber slick rock climb?
  4. Is anyone here able to make it up EBD on flat pedals? Despite being in way better shape than I was a year ago, I can't seem to get enough umph to clear it.
  5. My buddy lives in COS and at one point there was a guy wielding a hatchet chasing this biker. Nuts.
  6. Are the trails dry enough to ride this morning? Seriously though, which one of you dickheads got a bike for christmas?!
  7. 100% on that last point. I put 2.8 DHR and 2.6DHF on my hard tail and it feels like pedaling through mud. thanks for the help. I finally got this tire seated and after the pain in the ass I just went through I will definitely be switching on the next run.
  8. I’ve loved the tire in the past but I haven’t tried a ton of other options. Any recommendations on a similar tire or just any rear tire that is good on the chunky stuff around here? I run a minion DHF on the front but had a lot of bad luck with the DHR.
  9. Follow up question on the new tire. When I spin the wheel, it looks like my wheel is way out of true. Looks like it is bouncing all over the place. But then I did a zip tie against the rim and spun it and the wheel is perfect. Is it normal to have this issue? Anything to be concerned about?
  10. Has anyone here had trouble getting Continental Trail King tires on and off? Took me forever to change one yesterday. I couldn’t get the damned bead over the rim. Also had a ton of trouble getting the old off the rim even with tire levers.
  11. That's crazy. I tried that several times and kept ending up ass over elbows at the last boulder.
  12. I've always found riding the cradle W-E is harder. I could never figure out the turn at the beginning and just recently started getting it within a couple of tries. Going east to West, it's just a matter of getting up to the high side right away rather than riding in the crack. There is a small section at the start where the low side (low side = left side if you're looking at the crack from E-W) is higher than the right side and you can kind of wheely over to the high side. Then you just take that across and drop down toward the end. That probably Didn't make a ton of sense, but I'll see if I can get a video at some point.
  13. Yah man, Monday was prime riding. Tires sticking perfectly on corners and the weather was incredible. A little cold in shorts and tshirt to start and perfect once you warmed up.
  14. I go the route of moving on nowadays too. Just try to mind my own business unless someone is intentionally f'ing up the trails.
  15. Last time I saw him he was eyeing up EBD. I really hope you're right!
  16. Man, I don't know how I missed his lack of helmet, but that's whom I was referring to. He had someone w/ him that had a nice bike too. If someone showed up with no helmet to ride w/ me I would tell them no way. I don't need that on my conscience.
  17. Anyone see the dude on the messenger bike on DD today?! Couldn’t figure out it he was serious or doing it to be funny.
  18. Yes, that is for when you don't want COVID to ruin your brain injury.
  19. Agreed x1000. I don't even get near Brushy on weekends. For what its worth, if you stick to double down and rim job you can avoid most of the knuckleheads at least.
  20. Good for you for doing it multiple times. I did it the one time and that, so far, has been enough for me.
  21. I've been eyeing this for a while and have never had the cajones to do it. Does anyone roll up to this with speed and hop the whole feature from the top?
  22. Hell yah Morris. That step up is probably my favorite feature on DD.
  23. Took forever, but I found it. Here's the view from the top and perfect speed.
