Just read how Round Rock is going to make masks mandatory for people 10 and older starting July 1st. For 60 days. 10 and older. Any guesses why 9 yrs and below are exempted?

Fair enough. You are correct that there seems to be no solid Step 2. I'm just curious if the plan is Step 1: people wear masks in public places because of corona. Step 2: people focus and argue about Step 1 so they don't see what's going on behind the curtain. Step 3: ??? I know that 5 years ago, everyone would agree that the gov't isn't what they appear to be, and they shouldn't be trusted. These days, seems like the gov't from 5 years ago is Hellbent on getting rid of Trump. Like him or not, it seems odd. I'm asking why. Really has nothing to do with masks.

And, I've never shamed anyone for wearing a mask. Succumbing to gov't control? Well, yes. But I'm simply curious as to what's really going on. I'd like for everyone to be curious as well.

Strangest stuff I've seen..... People are rioting, setting fire to small businesses, taking over areas of cities, trying to get rid of police, tearing down monuments (no matter what they stood for), beating the crap out of people on the street for no reason, pulling people out of their cars to beat them too..... All in our own country. And we're arguing about masks. To prevent a disease with an almost 100% survival rate. Strange indeed.

Again, I can’t answer for everybody. But, I live and work in a rural part of Williamson county. I spend a majority of my time in my office with minimal contact with people. My wife has similar contact at her work. I’m what you would classify an anti-social person. I don’t like hanging with drama and putting up with their BS. I don’t go tubing or frequent bars. I order HEB online and a masked person drops my stuff in the back of my car. My day to day activities are now labeled “social distancing”. Therefore, I don’t feel I need to wear a mask. So I’m not going to. Plus, there’s political movement behind the smokescreen. I’m more concerned with that than I am with a cough.

I can’t speak for all non-mask wearers, but I personally don’t hate medical workers. My sister and her daughter both work at a hospital in San Antone. They’re my barometer as to how bad we should freak out. So far, cases have increased. But, the survival rate remains the same. So, there’s that. As far as the we vs. me mentality: from my side of the fence, there’s plenty of people who refuse to wear masks. Maybe the non mask wearers are the we, and you few masked ones are the me. You want everyone (we) to wear a mask to protect you (me). It’s all about how you look at it.

I 2nd this. This is where I learned to not ride wet trails. Before I was properly educated.
