  1. 7 miles of white sand and blue water... Negril, Jamaica... Friend just took this photo... Can't say I've seen the beach this empty since the '70s.
  2. Thanks, Barry... Appreciate the info. Putting together a one page project overview. Now I need to get some trail building pricing. Also, I'm thinking that some sections could be dense trail, while other sections could be a bit more open.
  3. Just wondering about trail mileage per acre of hillside land. I know it's not an exact science, but something like Slaughter Creek trail... If you could build on all of it but without it becoming like Walnut Creek... With lots more space between trail sections. How large a piece of land is Slaughter Creek trail on, and how large is Walnut Creek? Just wondering what could be done on 500 acres. Thanks.
  4. That's up to you to decide. But hey... Lots of folks tend to judge before actually having the info. Even I was guilty of that with the snake business.
  5. It's now moved outside of airports... It's now moved out of airports.mov
  6. A win is a win... Finally got my wife to ride to work (she's still required to go in) and she called to let me know she'd arrived safely. Not sure what's going to happen when the traffic goes back up, but for now, as long as it's not raining... A win is a win.
  7. Oh lighten up. Go read a book. Here... Start with this... Whoa...Albert Uderzo died. Man, everyone's getting old. https://www.asterix.com/en/
  8. Not familiar with using dropbars in builds... Would 48cm be considered wide for a large/xlarge frame? I read that it's about shoulder width, but just wondered if anyone here is in the large/x large range and what they used.
  9. You know it. And you remembered... Even in detail. How's that for marketing. "However, none are regional special interest magazines distributed through local bike shops (which aren’t even allowing customers inside)." Yeh... But that's because it hasn't been printed as yet. And FYI... USPS is stil going... For now at least. That cleared up... Should these bike shops just close up the brick and mortar? But this is a question for another thread. Okay, humor break over... Back to hitting the books.
  10. LOL... Yes... I'm pretty sure you could... For an hour or so.
  11. Why picket? Every little bit helps. As for politicians... As human history proves... Most are more than competent at gaslighting the folks they claim to serve.
  12. My picketing days are long over. It's more of an outing for youngsters.
  13. For sure... But history should tell us how that goes. And the time and effort needed to even get a little attention from them. Picketing is kind of more grassroots local and immediate messaging... Which can often have a bit of effect. But sure... Hold city officials and enforcers accountable.
  14. You should go out and picket it. Seriously... Take action for the greater public cause. But I'm thinking that not many will love you for it. Some may even be offended by you for doing it. Others may blacklist you too; and even attack you — verbally and physically. It's not easy putting yourself out there in support of the kind of social responsibility many prefer to ignore.
  15. I thought this was bike specific but saw that someone posted games in here... I've got this pretty unused slingshot and an almost full jar of BB pellets if anyone would like to keep their kids occupied for an hour or so.
  16. I can always use all three for my bike builds. The grips and pedals on old bikes I get are usually toast. If no one else has an urgent need for them I'll take them.
  17. I guess I've been ahead of the curve for a long time.
  18. I came across this today... Given the TV coverage, I guess it was inevitable that it would happen. It's like English soccer and all the new stats... For some reason, as a kid watching soccer I just never knew that I needed to know how many "...assists..." a player had. And now I'm too old to be concerned about a 23" distance and .03 seconds of air time jump on a trail, which is about as good as it gets these days. But for sure there are some who will be into it.
  19. When things get back to the new normal, here are a few parks that beginners can have fun on... Including CenTex's, Spider Mountain... https://mtbparks.com/Mountain-Bike-Park-News-Events/News-Events/TAKE-IT-EASY-5-Bike-Parks-That-Are-Great-For-Beginners.html
  20. Okay... So much more than a voice... He may be gone... But his music still is... Bill Withers.
  21. Seriously... Worse than bringing up Hitler... Or Politics... Or religion. Okay... Not politics or religion... But for sure Hitler. https://www.pinkbike.com/news/trust-performance-ceasing-operations-effective-immediately.html?fbclid=IwAR1vRb3dzyx8nAZC1RrpatwuQIfUeFep5mTiOY-uqpWPUYezQ_rEbvLAsGc
