  1. Looking forward to seeing the changes there. Funny story (maybe) about that spot. I'm trying to get my 11 year old into mountain biking and have been using PP as a training ground for him, and he's been doing great. The first time he's going down that spot he stops, and I coach him, tell him to maintain good momentum, weight back and let the bike do it's thing. I didn't even think about what happens after the little drop. So he hits it at a decent speed, no problem, and then skids out trying to stay on the trail. Then we both just stand there as we watch his new bike slowly slide and roll right into the creek. It's not easy to get down there and drag a bike back up. Kinda funny in a 'had to be there' sort of way.
  2. Great conditions today. Peddler's continues to get funner. Thanks HB. Not sure I rode the newly cut stuff the exact way it was planned, but helped tamp it down anyway. Also saw the new and improved (?) Gnargasm. Lost maybe 30% of the pucker factor, but still fun. Nice to meet one of you out there today too. Merry Christmas ladies.
  3. Aww, man. I wish I never saw this thread. I love my Fuel 8 29" and didn't realize the hate for that bike. I have not ridden any of the other bikes listed above, so maybe I don't know what I'm missing. Ignorance is bliss I guess. I'm going to continue loving my bike though. :)
  4. Thought I'd answer my own post. Just got back from a lap at Walnut Creek and it's good to go. There were maybe a half dozen very small, wet, muddy spots in the expected places, but they were easily avoidable without going off the trail. Get it while you can.
  5. Did that rain happen yesterday? Was wanting to ride there at lunch. We're dry up here at Brushy.
