  1. Heck ya. Now just need to ride, ride, ride and get skills back up.
  2. In my "anal, have to have tools mind" I bought 2. Rock shox digital, and one that has a valve at end of hose that can be open or closed. It works really well.
  3. I saw that afterwards. Was wondering where the $39 came from. It makes it look like the $39 was monthly. Hahaha. Oh well. It's all good
  4. Thanks, that was shoulder clod. Basically a smoked roast. Clod was the Texas meat before brisket came about in the 1960's. Hahaha, some useless info there
  5. Yep, it's been so long forgot they were in there. They are out and in safe spot now.
  6. You reminded me of all my 1/8 stuff, electric and nitro sitting in a bin wasting away. I was into it yrs ago. We built a track at a VFW only to see it gone months later. I'm glad I looked. Lipos were a little swollen. Damn
  7. Was very skeptical about these, but DAMN. I've done 4 cooks on it now. Pork butt, Ribs, Chicken, Steaks/seafood. Pretty freakin nice to set the thing, and go work our bikes, ride....whatever. We rode WC few weeks ago and had pork cooking. Wifi let's me control everything from wherever. I've noticed you dont get quite as much smoke flavor compared to my kamado. Still not bad though
  8. Makes perfect sense. What they are recommending isn't working. Was starting to get frustrated.
  9. I'm with you on conditioning. Being off the bike for 8yrs has been interesting. Everything is sore after a ride. I guess being 48 doesnt help either. I swear I could do some of those lines back then that I cringe looking at now. Sure did miss the hell out ofv riding
  10. I'm finding if I measure 3x's I get a damn different measurement each time. Ugh. I'm sure its rider error. I'm setting at 82/212 and forgetting it for now. I'll ride and see where I'm at.
  11. Thanks, so is it weird to have 70 instead of 84? I'm guessing the 84 is for the 23mm firm setting.
  12. I just joined and they do have a "meetup" account. I'm getting notifications for work days, etc.
  13. I've been reading a lot on setting sag. I've set my stumpy per Specialized website. I was messing around today with the bike. I'm 180lbs with riding gear, water, etc. I've weighed myself with home scale....supposedly good scale, within .5lb accuracy Specialized says 84psi for fork, 217 for shock. I'm wanting 26mm sag on fork, so I've had to lower pressure down to 70. I'm basically splitting the difference with 23mm firm and 30mm plush. Shock is set and st 217 with gear on I'm not getting oring in the sag tool. Been very careful with getting on and off the bike. Guess my question is how accurate are the manufs recommended air pressures? Seems I should ignore the numbers and just go by measuring. Is this how most of you do it, or are you using manufs info and calling it good?
  14. GF bought these and realized after 2 rides they were too small. Anyone need size 40? Selling for $40, or make an offer.
  15. Cool, just joined and signed waiver.
  16. Never been to one.....should I bring a side dish? Haha
  17. How does one go about being able to ride there?
  18. I want to ride there really bad. From what I've seen on the tube, I need to get my skill level up like it used to be before even thinking about it. I truly do appreciate the fact that you guys have spent countless hours doing the work. I spent A LOT of hours st Lake Granger yrs ago trying to make it rideable. I totally respect the time and effort it takes. Looks like a badass place
  19. Not "today" new, but few months. Gotta say loving this thing. I've always owned Stumpjumpers going back to '91. Was going to go carbon, but the price "guilt" told me this would be fine. Bought the GF a Fuse 27.5+. Her first MTB. Shes hooked like we all were when we started. Seeing her face when she cleans something after trying multiple times is the best.
  20. It's been humbling. Crazy how much has changed. My 08 stumpy had 640mm bars, now mine has 780mm. I see the benefits, but it's taking a little bit to get used to. Tire sizes are crazy too. These 2.6's are huge. Definitely liking the traction though.
  21. Better 5han a lot of mine have been. Haha
  22. What is Candyland? I've heard a few of you guys mention it.
