  1. I land by the tree past the rocks and it's smooth as butter! FE2E1524-1315-4D7A-B5DE-126BAD9C0D4D.MOV A35DF91C-ABAA-4356-8946-C32A7E811CC5.MOV
  2. Lot of rabbits that need eaten down there!
  3. I've been starting at 9-10pm and it's been pretty comfortable! Last night didn't see a single other soul. With the heat and all was expecting some others!
  4. They started us 7 minutes in front of the Juniors! The 14 yr old who was first to start made 6 of the 7 minutes up but to be fair he not only won the junior race but then went and won the cat 2 adult race and had the fastest cat 2 lap! Second lap we got passed but had a flat tire when we did.
  5. Race against the clock and our pride!
  6. Nah! I came, I saw, I conquered! Now I'm going to retire and return the bike to Sir Cbaron.
  7. Dirt was grippy last night! I might even say Hero!!
  8. Not sure how much Albert committed but if it's $10-$20 the total would be $60-$80 with crazyt match! For my half if you guys would just donate to the new Peddlers pass go fund me page and label it tandem fun that would be awesome! Thanks
  9. Just want to say thanks to everyone involved for getting that race put together,as well as all the volunteers that worked on the trail and worked the race! I can't remember a time that I didn't at least have to drive a hour to attend a mtb race! A special thanks to @HoneyBadger, @DesertNomad,KOM! The course was perfect for the time trial format, hope it happens again next year!!
  10. I agree! Who knew a tandem could be so much fun! If you look at our individual times you would know the gas powering that train was at least 75% first blood!
  11. Both kids raced both the junior the the adult race and both put up 5 laps of sub 15 minute and closer to 14 minute runs!
  12. Went out at 9:30 tonight and only one other pair of riders out! Dirt was tits and temperature perfect! My fellow rider tonight was a friend who has never biked on a real trail and he was on a 1998 entry level Bike he bought for a $100 bucks 6 years ago at a garage sale and he rode like a champ! We stuck to picnic and PP but I was still impressed being night time and all. The best part is I think he might catch the fever!!
  13. Whew good to know! I thought those muddy tracks on the sidewalk were the elusive big foot paying us a visitšŸ˜
  14. I rode the regional trail up from great oaks and the decomposed granite sections were pretty soupy so I was resigned to just enjoy the easy spin to the songs of the crickets in the perfect 68 degree weather!! Jonesing for dirt I thought Iā€™ll ride 20 yards down upper Picnic and turn around due to the inevitable mud! Wrong it was slightly moist over hard pack and fast as hell!! No caking, and who said you canā€™t find flow in central Texas! I only rode the high side east to west and turned around and rode west to east and I couldnā€™t find any evidence I had rode the other direction. Still not stupid enough to try moist limestone by myself at night so I canā€™t speak for any of the other trails but I would think with just a little bit of sun and everything should be good by tomorrow afternoon!
  15. ^^^this^^^ If I get out there and the trails are to wet Iā€™ll hit the regional trail!
  16. It feels like groundhogs day! Like clockwork I get a chance to ride and suddenly the forecast changes and down comes the rain!
  17. Was it enough rain to ruin my plans of a night ride around 9 or 10 tonight? It was very light rain at my house.
  18. Sorry text communication error. Just a pop up canopy? Ez-up style.
  19. Will they allow us to set up tailgate tents in the open field? Was planning to bring the whole family out for the festivities and am wanting to set up a base camp. Thanks for the hard work and dedication to making this event happen!
  20. Iā€™d rather get on my road bike than stationary trainer, but with that being said dirt rules and asphalt drools!
  21. Iā€™ll be interested to see how you stack up against the XC guys! Wouldnā€™t be surprised if you do well!
