  1. Also, a cover like that will slap and rub the bike over the many areas of contact possibly damaging the finish.
  2. @Nandoturned me onto these, and they do feel cool when riding plus provide a SPF of 50.
  3. One of our guys showed up with the ice cream in an RTIC cooler with lots of ice packs right as we started digging into the ice cream. We keep it in the cooler when we weren't scooping it.
  4. Yep, our regular Tuesday R&I at Walnut Creek took off at 5:30 p.m. this week, and our SN ride will be happening today around 5 p.m. as long as we don't get more rain. I'll be riding to the ride, which takes me about an hour. Like the advice given here and other places, hydrate all the time, not just on the ride. Wear lighter color clothing. Ride earlier or later if you can't take the heat. I like to fill my CameBak half full of water, freeze it so that the intake tube is not obstructed, and then fill it with cold water right before I ride. I have cold water throughout my rides and the bonus of helping prevent or at least slow bacterial growth. I know poeple don't like wear backpacks, but this works well for me and don't feel hot wearing one.
  5. There was even peach cobbler and ice cream.
  6. Someone posted a picture of one on Reddit at the Sculpture Falls/MoPac Greenbelt entrance, too. The police have to justify the budget beyond personnel.
  7. Ridden sporadically by my wife. Size small. It has some minor dings and scratches from being crashed. Still in great shape. Installed larger tires with some tread for gravel path riding, matching pedals and grips. Rack and mounts are not included.
  8. I bought these over a decade ago and wore them one winter in a bouldering gem and climbed outdoors twice in them. They have been stored in a tote in my garage since then. Chalk bag included.
  9. This 18 liter capacity pack was used sporadically for a few years and makes a great trail building pack, family outing bag, or even a cycling pack, bladder not included. One of the side pockets ir tron, and you can see wear in the logo. The fasterers all worked the last time I used it.
  10. The cleats, while visibly worn, do have some life left. The carbon soles make the shoes stiff yet light, and the boas make on the fly adjustments easy. These shoes fit my size 10 D-width feet comfortable. The pedals are NOT included but can be bought for an extra $60.
  11. Stock build w/ Shimano 105 components save for a shorter, taller stem for a more upright, comfortable position, a Specialized Power saddle with Mimic technology, and SPD pedals, this Ruby is a great bike for your second road bike or a fantastic starter road bike. Two chain rings promise that you'll always have the right gearing for any ride around here. The agile and responsive Specialized FACT carbon, full-monocoque fork features Zertz inserts to absorb road roughness and give you a smoother ride. The Zertz under the saddle smooths bumps to your sit bones, making your ride more comofrtable. The bike was ridden infrequently by my wife b/c we are primarily mountain bikers and has been sitting on a trainer for the past two years barely ridden.
  12. Semi-metallic brakes pads new in the packaging. $10
  13. This 54 cm Trek Domane has hydraulic disc brakes paired with the Trek patented Isospeed decoupler front and rear designed to tame the cobblestones of the famous Paris-Roubaix race. The carbon wheels are light and fast, and the bike is equipped with Shimano SPD pedals. The tires are brand new Bontrager AW1 with zero miles on them! The Wahoo Elemnt Bolt mount is NOT included. I will be installing new black bar tape this week and cleaning it up for the sale. $2,050 Send me a DM on here or find the listing on Facebook's Bicycle Buy, Sell & Trade Austin, TX.

  21. Three slightly used glove liners free for the first person who can pick them up. Text ONLY 512-797-RIDE or DM me here.
  22. I have a Yeti Cycles cap with a mesh back that needs washed and reshaped and a Bicycle Sport Shop pinstripe cap in really good shape. Free to the first person who can pick them up from me. Text only 512-797-RIDE or DM me here.
  23. Area 51 is the Little Walnut Creek Greenbelt. The small network of trails is not destination worthy yet. They don't flow well and don't stitch together well. I will ride through that greenbelt on the trail to ride the trails off the SWCT. The singletrack Austin Bike is referencing is flowy and fun.
