circuitbreaker
Hey Gang, i'm looking at riding the Hamilton Greenbelt trails tomorrow with someone who hasn't ridden in a while, but lives in the area. i've never been out there. want to make sure its reasonable for someone who hasn't ridden in a while. looking for chill ride with some decent single track. any other tips or recommended route? Thanks
AustinBike
Pretty much only one route. The Hamilton GB is chill, generally easy, but fun. Mount Lakeway is the bigger challenge out there.
Moc 5
It's an easy enough trail, though it can be climby in places (nothing like Mt. Lakeway, however.) It easy to get "lost" if you don't know the trail. I suggest you post up to the LAME group asking for a route. I'd send you a gpx, but I can't remember the last time I rode the entire trail. Maybe Austin Bike has one?
circuitbreaker
sounds good. i'll use trailforks if i need to find my way. i've ridden mt lakeway a number of times, and that would be too much for this ride. so Hamilton GB sounds perfect. circuitbreaker
Had a great ride, thanks guys! definitely some exploring required. Think i'll try adding this on to my next Mt Lakeway ride for a pretty big Lakeway day.
