  1. its mostly time/exhaustion level.. if its' less than 20 minutes, i pretty much always ride to the ride. but if i want to ride to the greenbelt its about an hour each way. that turns a 3 hour ride into a 5 hour ride. and i know i'll be destroyed after, even if i'm in good shape. so i need to plan my day appropriately.
  2. i know alot of us are using the Outbound Hangover for helmet, due to its wide field. It is on the expensive side if you'd like a similar profile to the Shenkey, I'd recommend the Nightrider Micro 900 or 850. These can be found on sale for cheap and provide great power/weight.
  3. interesting. thanks for the heads up. Here's the trailforks: https://www.trailforks.com/region/chad-alan-foster-memorial-trail-system-47040/?activitytype=1&z=14.3&lat=35.66850&lon=-101.40380

  6. is thumper cleared to ride? or it needs more work?
  7. This is exciting news. Can't wait to ride it in the correct direction! but seriously, it will be interesting to see how everything flows. and all the fun downhills will be terrible climbs again.
  8. The North Walnut Creek trail extension is now open. It takes you under Lamar and ends at Oakbrook and Cedarbrook - Walnut Bluffs Trailhead. So not ideal for crossing I35. but still its pretty great. and it turns out there are more trails on that side.

  10. i was out there last week, the trails are mostly still there, but it is certainly more broken up/confusing that previously. Also, they are actively building road/sidewalks so it was a bit sketchy. would maybe recommend riding on the weekend to avoid construction. i have always parked near the randalls, more specifically on the dead end of Raindance.
  11. i assume this will disrupt most of the ninja sections closer to the creek? let;'s hope things go more smoothly then when they paved the section through peddlers pass.
