The Shimano XT M8000 comes in different chainline configurations... Does anyone know what the "B" at the en of the "M8000", as in "M8000B" means? I guess it's "B" for Boost... But on the Shimano website I only see M8000B1 and M8000B2... But no "M8000B". Is the "B" designation without the "1" or "2" just an older designation, or a different chainline? Thanks for the help? B1 is a single ring boost, B2 is a double ring boost, and the non-lettered 1 and 2 are narrower chainline single and doubles. If you're buying for a bike that does not have boost spacing on the rear hub, stick to non-boost cranks.
