  1. haha agreed! my "run straight then cut over to the left" strategy seemed to work better for me than it did a few others, and one guy in particular. LOL
  2. lol whoops! I straight Bucknered' that fool! (i'm in the black and red) 🤣 I think ya'll should have to do running mass starts to your XC bikes before peeling off to the race course! IMG_3847.mov man the burner was one hell of a race! I got 7th place, I may have not turned my chip in the earliest time of day with my misunderstanding of the format and a self inflicted 15-10 break penalty at the race on Saturday, but I went the fastest! 1st place across all solo racers at 1:46:37.91. I'll take that :) won by 21 seconds! Yeow! the way this timing worked, I would pass 2-4 people on a stage, haul ass back down to the lift, and everyone bottlenecked at the lift. I would have all those people I passed just slowly come down and wait alongside me in the chair lift line. It turned into more an endurance chair life race than seeing who go the fastest 15 times down the mountain. nonetheless it was a great event and I cant wait for the next one! IMG_3848.mov
  3. im working towards helping them do a complete website makeover and all the important information will be updated soon! the park is only closes Monday & Tuesday. they are open Wednesday through Sunday shuttle service is available anytime during operating hours. they do now allow people/the public to run their own shuttles. feel free to ask any questions you have!
  4. Just wanted to give everyone a real time visual of the progress that I/we have made at BBP Bandera Bike Park in the last 4 months and the forward building momentum is strong! the first map is what was at bandera bike park the day I got started and created a topo map of the property. the 2nd map is current. can't wait to see what this place continues to evolve into! the 7HA guys "thatcrew" have also created a trail that Is looking quite awesome as well! I just only have the top half (the green trail between the red and orange trails) added to the map and will map the whole trail and add it soon. the two baby blue lines on the right side of the current map are the single track climb trails that take you to the top of the Ridgeline and to the top of "lookout hill". the white lines are jeep roads
  5. im kinda already thinking that. im bringing my DH bike and my trek remedy 9.9 trail bike also. each would have their strengths
  6. I actually really like lake Georgetown, but flat with chunky rocks and gnarly are not the same thing. haha but I would like to go do a lap out there sometime with you!
  7. https://www.angelfireresort.com/event/return-of-the-burner/ Leaving for Angelfire tomorrow afternoon, and I registered for the Burner DH race this Saturday 6/22.. 12 hours to do 15 laps, fastest accumulative time for all 15 laps wins - 5 laps-Track 1: World Cup 5 laps-Track 2: Angel’s Plunge to Lemonade to Pinball to Candyland 5 laps-Track 3: Diesel to Duke to Lazy Susan to Combi to Lower Diesel to Boulder Dash ive never even done 15 laps in one day before I don't think, much less every single lap at race pace! god have mercy on my bike and body! yeehaw!
  8. haha, I knew I was gonna get my schooled. I was participating mainly to support the event being put on by my buddies. I definitely respect the fitness aspect of XC racing but ya'll can have that shit! I registered cat 2, 35 and under, and pretty sure I was almost last in my category. my times showed me belonging in middle-lower pack cat 3 LOL I had never ridden peddlers pass before, my first lap of 2 was blind, and we started racing at 1pm and it was hot as hell.. I can think of more excuses too. haha maybe take those same guys over to cat Mtn to do some stage racing over there and the results may have been a little different 🤷‍♂️ I prefer racing that has lots of gnar and a little gravity to help get my big ass moving!
  9. I got smoked like a joint today! Haha it was fun and a super cool event but that ultra twisty XC terrain killed me. Lol.
  10. Haha, well those grip paddles don’t hinder me in the slightest and I absolutely swear by them. I have them on every single one of my bikes including my DH bike. They virtually made my hand pain/fatigue/arm pump COMPLETELY disappear. The wrist/palm/hand support is just great. It feels like you can ride your bike with relaxed open hands instead of a death grip on a little skinny handlebar rod with some rubber over it. it’s become one of those things where if I ride a bike without them a feel completely weird and hate how the bike feels. The paddles also in my opinion help keeps your elbows out naturally because the Paddles keep your wrists from sinking down like you're twisting the throttle on a motorcycle. Give it a try as you are reading this post - act like you are gripping a handlebar and poke out your elbows like you are in Attack position on a bike, now sink & twist your wrists like you are on a dirt bike and watch how your elbows naturally fold inward. I see riders sometimes riding with sunken wrists, elbows inward, and they seem like they just have noodle arms waiting for a rock or root to Jerk their front wheel and throw them on the ground like a rag doll. Keeping your wrists up high naturally keeps your elbows out in the “bulldog” attack position which helps your leverage/control of the bars/front wheel. The ergon GS1 grips come in two sizes small and large and that is just the thickness of the grips. I have big hands so I am happy with both sizes. If anyone buys a pair to try them and doesn’t like them I will almost always buy them from you. Just FYI! Check out my primer with them for the angle-
  11. ohhh I understand now. I meant to type "better" and auto correct must've changed it to "ether" but I cant help but like how a type-o gets more responses than the video subject matter. 🤦‍♂️
  12. call me dense like the dirt I move but I dont get the relation here.
  13. It’s way *BETTER* in person and there’s a lot more there, but check it out!
  14. https://austin.craigslist.org/pts/d/round-rock-ranch-hand-grille-guard-for/6905842834.html Hey Everyone, I have a Ranch Hand grille guard for a 2011-2014 Chevy 2500HD truck for sale. Some asshat in San Antonio sold me the wrong grille for my truck and then disappeared off the face of the earth. My loss your gain. I have confirmed directly with Ranch Hand customer support that this is for a Chevy 2500HD 2011-2014. My truck is a 2008 GMC 1500 so this will not work for me. These are $650 new online. Selling for $200 feel free to call, text, or email anytime
