  1. Thanks! What I figured 🙂 And I always use caution after the 4 titanium pins in my elbow when I went OTB on 1/4 notch 😛
  2. Any idea how the trails are, hoping to get a ride in this afternoon. Didn't seem like we got much rain and with how dry everything has been, I assume it did nothing but control the dust.
  3. A little over 2" rain near brushy this morning
  4. And it just started raining again near brushy just now...not looking good at all.
  5. I was gonna ride at 7am, heard the thunder and slept in, then was hoping to ride this afternoon...looks like a fathers day ride instead...
  6. That's why I dress like Joe Exotic when I ride Peddlers.
  7. The dirt was awesome today, but the sun and humidity was not. Glad I got out but wow that was rough.
  8. I saw that yesterday and just shook my head 😞
  9. Only see it on Facebook for Wilco at the moment, but everything's closed (parks and trails) over the weekend now. Edit to add: https://cbsaustin.com/news/local/williamson-county-joins-austin-in-closing-parks-trails-for-easter-weekend-due-to-covid-19
  10. Also just read that all Austin City Parks/Trails/Greenbelts/Preserves are to be closed this weekend. I would expect Wilco to follow suit. Edit to add looks like all Travis County parks closed this weekend.
  11. Pretty sure that's a normal Costco line...why I cancelled my membership a couple months ago honestly.
  12. Tuck and roll and you'll protect your head. It's like being able to put your seatbt on fast enough if it looks like you'll crash your car.
  13. I have some "craft" whiskey that tastes like whiskey with just a hint of a spoiled milk aftertaste, yum.
  14. With all non-essential surgeries postponed it will not be fun to find out what is considered essential and what isn't post crash. Ride safe y'all.
  15. In my experience the Trail runners know what's up. It's clueless hikers glued to their phones and stopping to look at weeds in a blind corner that make multi use trails difficult.
  16. I was there 6 months ago, it was packed and closed early if you didnt already have a reservation.
  17. It wasnt me, 6' was my normal distance already, now I just use flags signals to communicate.
  18. Working from home, and used lunch to ride. Dirt was primo and the number of folks out was way less than a Sunday afternoon.
  19. Solution, let's start a go fund me, buy the guy out, and turn the house into a mid-ride party shack. I really don't see how this could go wrong.
  20. I just rechecked my wife's old 26er and it is a 16" frame, an XS 26er may be a solid choice. Thanks guys for all the suggestions and advice.
  21. Budget I'd like to stay under $500. Thanks for the suggestions. The 26er(s) I have are both pretty old, and have fairly high standovers even being somewhat cramped cockpits...a smaller frame is a good place to look there too.
  22. My son has outgrown his BMX style bike. He's just a little too short (24.5" inseam) for a 26er, I tried on a small frame we have. He'd like a mtb style bike, though trails will be more gravel, probably peddlers and lower picnic at the most. A lot of gravel, paved, and sidewalks. Could use some suggestions where to start, I'm thinking a 24" bike, would prefer disc brakes though, I've looked at the scott roxter online and that seems to stick all the boxes, but any other suggestions would be appreciated. I'm ok getting a bike he'll outgrow in 18 months, he has a younger brother, and I want his bike to fit him now. Thanks!
  23. Do we need some signage or something similar from a MTB group that its closed to make sure people are on board? Some people will "stick it to the man" but once they realize their own are also asking a section to not be ridden it may help. Some people will still be jerks and do what they want, but may help keep the traffic lower. Idk, I dont have any good suggestions other than signs.
