  1. Oh yeah! After watching Nate slay the chunk on one, it's easy to forget that is just a 130mm travel 29er. And now with a proper bottle mount, has to be on everybody's dream bike list. BTW, I believe Peddler's carries them as well as BSS. So you could check both for a test ride if you are prepared to lay down some serious dough.
  2. In the world of 130mm travel 29ers, you should definitely check out the Norco Sight and Intense Primer before settling on the Fuel EX. I've got a large Primer that you can try out if you'd like. You can get a carbon foundation build in your size for under $3K.
  3. 8am it is - see you then at 183A trailhead. Cafeend is in as well - hopefully others.
  4. I'm in! Just let me know when.
  5. We're ON for tomorrow assuming there is enough interest! We'll want to confine our ride to Snail, Rim, Deception, and Picnic, but with morning temps in the 50s, we'll be able to push some serious miles! Please respond with start time preferences. @Cafeend has already declared a 7:30 start time. We normally meet at the 183A Trailhead, but can pick up additional riders later over at the Sport Park.
  6. I haven't heard from Chief yet, or anybody else for that matter. If you want to ride at 7:30, I can be there then, but I think it might still be dark. I can't even drive a car in the dark let alone a mountain bike! @Kobra Kai MTB Guy what time can you make it, assuming you are still interested?
  7. Snail, Rim, and Deception (both 1/4 Notch and Double Down) were in great shape this afternoon. Picnic was a bit slick in a few spots, but really not too bad at all. Mulligan was a mess. I didn't even check Peddlers as I'm sure it needs another day or two to dry out. Best of all, with temps in the low 60s with low humidity, I rode an extra five miles over what I've been riding, and pushed it hard the whole way!
  8. Tom are you looking for a large or medium?
  9. Just finished riding. Deception, Rim, and Snail are all in great shape. Picnic was OK with a few slick spots. Mulligan was a shit show - not worth riding until it dries out.
  10. I'll be going out later and will post an update here as well as on the Brushy Creek Ride Call thread. Assuming the trails are OK, you're welcome to join us for the Fri morning ride.
  11. Thanks bro - appreciate that. I'm hanging around 190 - although I had set a goal of 180 by my 60th birthday, which was a few weeks ago. Just haven't been getting enough rides in with the monsoons over the past 2 months but maybe I can at least drop 5 lbs in time for Dragon Slayer. Hard to believe when we first rode together I was only 57 - the years are going by too fast man! I need to get out to Cat Mountain with you before it's too late. Maybe you can talk me into a nice new GG enduro rig.
  12. When I was test riding a Carbon Foxy at Brushy the other day, I told the guy from Mondraker that I weighed 185 lbs
  13. That's a great question given that we haven't had it in a few weeks. I can't see starting any earlier than 8am, at least not until the time changes. I'd be OK myself with starting even later - 8:30 or 9 - but let's hear from @Chief and @Cafeend on their preferences. Welcome input from others as well though who are considering joining the ride. I plan to go out later this afternoon and check the trails. Deception, Picnic, and Rim were in great shape Tue afternoon, and it looks like we got less than a tenth of an inch yesterday. I'll post an update in the Ride Calls forum once I've checked the trail status.
  14. Very nice tool - thanks. Looks like Brushy got less than a tenth of an inch yesterday; so with a full day of sun and dry air, perhaps we'll be able to ride here tomorrow.
  15. Several POV clips from Rampage have been showing up on YouTube. Here are a couple of good ones I've seen. Don't worry, both of these guys happen to be wearing gloves.
  16. Alex from Cycle Progression was there with them and is carrying the brand. I rode their Foxy Carbon 27.5 and it was a pretty sweet ride. Just did a couple of laps on Mulligan and Picnic and also rode up the steep climb near where the old Deception entrance was. Overall impression was very nice. Light and playful despite a relatively long wheelbase. Pedaled and climbed very efficiently and had excellent steering response. VIDEO0079.mp4
  17. I cleared it for now, but the materials are still there for anybody who wants to get adventurous. Deception was much better today than it had been the past couple of days - just in time for some more rain!
  18. I cleared it off today and also cut back a bunch of Cedar throughout Double Down, including that helmet cracker that was hanging over the trail just east of where this blockade was, at the bottom of the rocky descent.
  19. Is it through one of the local bike shops? How long are they planning to be over there? I wouldn't mind checking one out but not if I have to pay to ride it.
  20. I took a closer look today thinking I could possibly muscle it off the trail, but with the way it's wedged among other trees, that wasn't possible. I'll return out there tomorrow with a saw and take care of it.
  21. I just don't get why they didn't leave the single log to be hopped over vs. piling a bunch of kindling around it.
  22. We did not but I could probably get out there today and take care of it.
