The Tip
I was going to respond in the New Yeti thread about where to demo one. "Desert Fest usually has some demos out there. Oh, oops! Never mind." But I'm trying to not be a smart ass, so I didn't. But that did get me thinking about what some of our post ride talk has been lately. Are we going to do anything to substitute for that adventure? I only went the last two years, but it was enough to spoil me on a group mountain biking get away. Ride, drink beer, eat something good. Get up the next day and repeat. Good stuff. I still have my RV space reserved at Maverick. So I suppose that's an option. Anyone been thinking of any thing? It could be just like trail work; it doesn't have to be "sponsored" by some entity for it to get done.

You drank so much beer that, frankly, I was rather surprised when you DID get up the next day.

Barry
I like beer okay. I like whiskey A LOT. But I would love to find a good substitute for the BBSP Festival.
CBaron
If we are throwing out suggestions than I say we head to Bentonville! Shorter drive, plenty of resources, great variety of riding. The only thing that it really falls short on is being "remote". -CJB
RidingAgain
A trip to Arkansas can give many mtb trail options that don't require staying around a city... https://www.singletracks.com/bike-trails/upper-buffalo-mtb-trails.html And for the long distance riders... https://www.singletracks.com/bike-trails/ouachita-trail.html
