John, I think that's the point. You won't need to think about messing with it, the switch happens in 3 milliseconds. You won't have to think about locking it out or opening it back up (or forgetting to) anymore. I'm not really endorsing it at this point, just saying this is a big selling point of it.

Talk to Morealice on Mojo. He did Brushy for a while with a CX bike as he was on spousal bike buying restriction. He used to blow by me with drop bars on Deception proper before I met him in person.

Ok, I've decided to sell my 2013 Kona Honzo ST. I don't really ride it and need the space for my daughter's bike. The frame is in great shape for a 2013 with some wear spots on the headset from cable rub and one on the downtube from heel rub. It's got sliding dropouts for easy single speed conversions and comes with a Chris King headset. The Mojo/AMB price is $650 with the craigslist/pinkbike/ebay price being significantly higher. Parts are as follows. 2013 Kona Honzo ST frame in medium 2013 Rockshox Revelation Double Air fork with 140mm travel (service done last year and ridden twice at Walnut since.) SLX M7000 11 speed drivetrain with the 46t cassette ridden twice. Magura MT5 front brake - SLX M7000 rear. I originally installed the Magura 4 pot brakeset and took it to the shop to get the hoses trimmed and bled. Apartment living isn't conducive to getting brake juice everywhere. I got it back and the shop thought I wanted the brakes mounted moto/Euro style for some reason. I had them switch it back to freedom style and the guy stripped the handlebar brake mount screw on the rear brake when he tightened it back up. I didn't discover this until 3 months later when I actually rode the damned thing. By that point it was too late to get them to fix it. I ended up getting an SLX rear brake to use. I will include the stripped Magura brake with the bike and a Magura Royal Blood bleed kit with it. Raceface Aeffect 780mm, 35mm diameter bars with a matching Raceface Aeffect 40mm length stem FastAce dropper post - This is a Chinese off brand dropper post that I got for $28 plus shipping off AliBaba. It was apparently a demo and works like a charm. It needs pressure to be added via an attachment that is exactly the same as one of those pump attachments you use for a basketball or a playground ball. It takes some fiddling to work, but it cost me less than $40 shipped and works perfectly otherwise. Hope Pro2 EVO hubs mated to Stan's Flow EX rims- Straight and bulletproof. I took the stickers off the rims a couple of years back. I have the 15mm axle adaptors for the front hub. It comes with a 20mm axle and hubs .180mm brake rotors on both front and back. New last generation Schwalbe Hans Damph up front and a Specialized Butcher in 2.3 out back. Both have been on two rides at Walnut with less than 20 miles total. Generic Shimano crankset with a Raceface 30t NW chainring Budnitz bottle opener/hex tool ESI Foam Grips SDG Bel-Air saddle

Most of the reviews I have read state Di2 types of battery charges. So if you forget to charge it, it will be a couple of months before you lose functionality. Plus when it stops working apparently it stays wide open. I'll wait for a generation or three until the technology filters down to an affordable level and the inevitable kinks get worked out. Or just say screw it and stay with what I have that is working just fine as is.

Moon dust in the corners. .6 and the tight stuff at the end of inner log loop are fun to drift in at speed. Put a foot down and it's slip and slide time.

If I had to pick between just the two of those, I would pick #2 because thou shall not mess with the state of Texas. I would have a negative of it though. I prefer the look of the first one with the state remaining whole.

Cleared out all the vines and trimmed the log down as much as I could with the help of a guy who stopped to help. Thanks dude! Definitely need a powered chainsaw and a couple of people to get this thing off the trail. Possibly a full-sized ax, as the tree was dead for a while and partially rotted. But a chainsaw is the best bet. It's at least 2 feet thick.

Obviously, Pinkbike has the new SB150 on their front page right now, but there is also an SB130 model right now that looks very enticing for this area. Yes, it's expensive and yes it still has a pressfit bottom bracket. I'd still like to demo one. 150mm fork and 130mm rear travel and a parts list that I would leave alone except for the brakes.

And with the control they have. Having been to Ft William in Scotland and seen the course there, I'm in awe at watching them fly through that rock infested moonscape at 25-30 mph. It's so incredibly humbling to see them do that and do it so casually. That's why when I laugh hard internally when I hear locals talk their big game here and say I could hang with Gwin/Neko Mullaly/<insert elite level pro here>. No, you can't. Because until you have seen that in action, you have no in-person idea of just how fast these people go. And how precise they are at that speed. Yeah, they may be fast in comparison to someone like me or you, but in comparison to even someone like Valentina Holl- the junior women winner by a long shot (who won every race this year by a minimum of 10 seconds and would have podiumed in elite women in a bunch of them) they would be left in the dust.

That was the mentality for my move over here. It's not like it's a rider maintaining the site that is letting it fall behind trying to juggle work, actually riding, kids, marriage and so on. There's obviously no sentimentality towards the board, so this is what happens when you show a lack of care. I don't care either. I like the features here more anyways.

Honestly as a joke to mess with a friend who is a full on XC weight weenie. He is always on me about how light my bike could be blah blah blah. I was going to let him see it in my parts bin and then say something like this is a P.O.S. and bang on it with a hammer. He would absolutely lose his shit. It would be worth the $20 to see him go ballistic. But I've decided to do something constructive with it like make it into a race heckle horn or an Xmas decoration. I already have a wheel wreath and a brake rotor tree topper. This would add to the collection.

What is it with you and banging your head? Riding style? You aren't abnormally tall or doing anything obviously different from anybody else. You aren't a crappy rider either.

I was actually pretty impressed with this. The editing is on par if not better than a lot of the big names out there. I liked watching this more than endless singletrack edits that are thrown out there for mass consumption.

Apparently not. Just checked the Trail Party Facebook page and they mention multiple times that it won't be open to the general public until next year. There are lots of if you come build you can ride type of situations and that race in September, but it's not open for general riding yet.
