  1. Wondering in another thread but there are folks here so......is LGT closed or open for Easter weekend? Fed land inside Wilco. Who will win? Thanks
  2. Good thing Lago Whorehey Villa is USACOE. Assuming Wilco is trumped by fed that is. Anyone know?
  3. Oh I've been in that. Yardsaled main creek crossing when I first started riding. I honestly think y'all are crazy. That water is not that bad. The only park upstream is Gracywoods and no dogs really get in the water there. Not sure where else upstream of The Hideout would be a source of funk. My dog plops here and at root drop where it's deeper, and also in the Wells Branch portion down from the pool. I even ride in Teva's no biggie. I only remember one Mojo who blamed some foot funk on this park, but if you have foot funk it's a bigger issue.
  4. Man, I've never been there on T and A day :( Or any day where people were laying out at the main creek crossing.
  5. All that new stuff on Outer Log is fun but yeah people are gonna be hauling through there now......as I tried too until coming up on a dad and two little girls..... It was sweet as hell when I hucked them! In fact if I didn't pull my No Hander Tabletop I would have decapitated three people!!
  6. Saw two guys at the nut riding. One with full face and one with nothing. If only there was a way to combine them and divide by two....oh and almost got gotten by Endo Valley. Thankfully I rarely clip in and was able to hop it out AND preserve my nuts in the process. Honk honk squeek squeek! (Yes my old Walmart squeeky horn is still a permanent functioning member of my handlebars). Nod to TMBRA. I hope they stay together ok thru this. It would be Pace Bend Race right around now. :(
  7. SunRideziz? Wow thats early. On another note I had a sinus infection 3 weeks ago. One day fever then coughing green crap. Did Z-pack 6 day thing and beat the green crap back. Problem was I remained stuffed up for two more weeks with mild fever, sore throat a few days, was only hearing the bass. Finally got on generic Claritin and it all cleared. I'm not supposed to have allergies this time of year. WTF? Anyways I wondered for 3 weeks if I had the 'rona. **This post paid for by Generic Claritin.**
  8. Speaking for all Deadheads, Jerry rigged was what we did to old VW busses to make it to the next show. It's improv man. Far out. Phil 'er up and Keep on Truckin!
  9. How are you gonna protect your four 13 year old wives WITHOUT an Arsenio Hall of weapons?
  10. I keep spilling my beer down my shirt, but I'm gonna stick with it gawd dammit.
  11. Why would riding there be ok now without the waiver? Seems counter.
  12. I saw Automotive and Bicycle Repair shops were allowed in other cases. Is that different here? Auto is essential for body and bikes are essential for mind.
  13. Um, poach Perd? No way bro. I can afford $5. WTF? That's how shit gets closed.
  14. Perd too? Yeah I knew campsites filled up, but day use is a new one to me. Good point about Spring Break.
  15. Heads up y'all. The word must have gotten out on this park. Buddy Craig got turned away after driving all the way to Colorado Bend to ride on Sat. Not Covid related. There is now a booth at the top and apparently the park had reached both camping and day use capacity. The new norm I'm guessing is to call ahead and/or reserve your spot before heading out. Rangers told him they had to turn away folks from Colorado and Kansas also. And no there weren't gonna let him park outside the gates and roll in, even though the trails may have been empty. Just wanted to let the community know. Later, Buffalo Slaghammer
  16. On Sweet 16? You mean water bars like at Walnut?
  17. This is blasphemy. You should be banned from this forum AND all trails within the great state of Texas. Unless you are kidding which you must be.
  18. The blank signpost was on the Labyrinth Loop which had no entry/exit signpost since is didnt really begin off of Great Escape but rather that left side trail that heads towards the lake. That must be Sprocket Loop now that I look at the map. I could have missed something tho.
  19. Hero Dirt and Zero People/Poop bags. Feels like you are truly out in the middle of nowhere at times. I give it 2 wheels up! Park look cleaned up and new camping spots and signs. The coveted Spot #9 is now #39 if you want to reserve some heaven. Main trail is now named The Great Escape and all the side trails are now named instead of A-E. Get some but don't tell too many people. Still one unnamed loop closest to the river but there are blank signposts ready for the stickers.
