  1. This. I've got trails right out my door (almost). But for 1-2hr SS rides where if shit really hit the fan mechanical wise, I am a short walk home, i don't need all the everything (which is in my going to the BCGB backpack). Maybe the best bet is to get out the sewing machine and just make another tiny frame bag for tools and stick with bottles.
  2. Ultimately, yeah, mostly just looking for a nice secure place to hold the small collection of junk I always take on a ride - tool, tube, co2(2), micropump. The contents of my old saddle bag. I can carry one bottle in the frame and one on the body, and phone on the body. Alternatively I could just keep using a pencil case in the jersey pocket, but would kinda like to get some out of jersey pockets. The Milk$$ is pretty tight on frame space to put the tool stuff, and while I do have a set of cage mounts on the DT, I feel meh about a cage there. Also, while 2 bottle is enough this time of year for a 2ish hour ride, having a bladder might be better for the same 2hrs this summer.
  3. Years ago I went Water Only for the bladder and run the electrolite stuff only in bottles for just this reason.
  4. Wondering as well about the Camelpack Repack - https://www.jensonusa.com/Camelbak-Repack-LR-4 $40 on Jenson. They all just seem so dang big. Maybe they just take pictures of them on small guys.
  5. YES THIS. That is where my mind is going. 2 bottles (1 frame, 1 hip) and a tire change stuff, and a snack or two.
  6. I'm looking at the Dakine 2L and 5L. I've got bottle cages and no problem using them, but with the dropper I've lost the seat bag and would love a quick grab and go for short rides. So not sure I need the 5L with a hydration bladder if with the 2L I could carry 2-3 bottles with the cages and bag. But yeah, trying to move away from the big hydration pack for rides less than 3 hrs.
  7. Who is running one of the MTB focused fanny hydration packs? Trying to decide if it is worth the $40-$60 price for a starter one to give it a shot. Is it just a more secure way to carry than just stuffing your jersey pockets? Alternatively, if you tried and didn't like, I'll buy your lightly used gear.
  8. Not sure if they are still open today, they were very near the end last week. They also had no chains at North last week, just a bunch of one off junk.
  9. Sadly they are out of stock on rear shocks. But would love to try the Unair.
  10. If Cody has not collected on anything, I would love one of the longsleeve base layers. I'm not as close to WC, but could get up there (or Cody could collect for me - hint hint)
  11. I've had my eyes on a Sur Ron Bee for a long time now, but like Big_Papa, it would replace my motorcycle and be used as a motorcycle and not on MTB trails (other than City Park). But still waiting for the battery tech to get a little better.
  12. Posted on CL too, but Mojo discount Truvativ riser bar - 720mm - $10 Salsa alloy flat bar - 650mm -$10 Salsa carbon flat bar - 660mm -$25 All in good shape. Show signs of lock on grips, brakes, etc no impact to function. Ritchy stem 90mm slight rise - $10
  13. $50 can usually get you a used king and you'll never have to worry about it.
  14. Speaking of local billionaire, the guy who just bought the Camelback track here at 360 and the lake/2222 is sort of a mountain biker. Back in the HH days we sold him a crazy blingy bike. Not sure if he ever really got the bike bug though.
  15. Pulled off a bike with very limited usage. Pads look like new. Hoses uncut, so should fit on anything you have (other than that tandem). $125 or a very large fish tank.
  16. So yeah, use whatever pressure works for you and use the same pump to set it.
  17. Also, unless you are using a digital shock pump, and even if you are, I find the pumps to be the source of much frustration. Every time you put a pump on or take it off you are losing some pressure, so when talking about 70 vs 84, I'd expect a few psi is tied up in gauge calibration and pressure loss from the pump.
  18. I've got a set of Magura 180s. I suppose there is no reason not to just run 180, I already needed one mount/adapter.
  19. Well I now own one. Available to borrow as needed.
  20. Lots of chinese brake rotors on Amazon. Anyone have one they've used and like? Paired with Hopes running at 160mm.
  21. Picked up a new to me bike with a lefty on the front. The wheel is shot though and I need to borrow a dummy axle to get it into the stand for a rerim. Anyone have the truing axle I could borrow?
  22. Just picked up a lefty and before I buy retail I thought I would see if anyone had a Lefty truing stand adapter they didn't need Also looking for a lefty fork mount adapter for the rack.
  23. They told me yesterday that stuff is moving quick, so might not be a lot more price cuts. The bad news is the stuff they are getting sent from the warehouse is all XS/S/XXL, so on the clothing side its not a pretty picture.
