They also lost the luxury car parked in the garage. On a side note, the town we're currently looking at buying a home in might lose their residential and commercial insurance coverage. This is due to lack of infrastructure (hydrants) and inability of fire teams to respond to homes on hillsides because at best, they located on narrow single lane streets that you cant drive a truck through. At worst, there's just stairs that the FD will have to run hoses up 50-100+ feet of stairs. The city/county are trying to figure out what to do, including passing a bond to get the water & hydrant systems upgraded. This will definitely determine whether or not we buy there. June Bug
Paul Uhl tells me that Hwy 518 from Las Vegas to Mora and Hwy 434 from Mora to Angel Fire is open. He drove to Angel Fire using that route a few days ago.
Hugh
I drove past Angel Fire and it looked open. Got in some quality riding around Cortez and Pagosa Springs.
June Bug
I haven't had a chance to try Turkey Springs, but it's on the list.
Hugh
Turkey Springs was good fun. Lots of swooping trails. Not terribly technical which makes it fast. I also hit up Boggy Draw which was fun. Thanks for that suggestion. McPhee Campground was a good place to camp. Lots of tree cover and easy access to the lake.
June Bug
Boggy Draw is lovely and now quite extensive trail system. We just rolled into Cortez. It's a bit on the warm side, so likely we'll head up to Boggy Draw tomorrow.
