Just jacking with you about the gloves, I am sure we have all been there. I had a special pair for travelling and exploring where I knew I would be checking my phone and/or Garmin a lot. Some of the newer gloves work very well though on touchscreens so I finally retired mine.
After 2 different trucks/shells I finally figured out a hack to lock it from the inside. If you have guides along the locking rod, clamp some small vice grips right next to a guide and it will hold the handle closed.
I have been riding quite a bit but you won't see me on any of your 120+ mi mtb rides!!! Chateau!
Seems like anytime I am thinking RPR will be my best bet they have an event. Ugh, a horse event at that, hopefully they don't create too much havoc on the trails.
Fri May 31: we received 1.6 in of much needed rain. Trails are open but don't ride the jumplines until the afternoon or until you don't leave ruts. Lots of labor goes into building and maintaining the Cantina jumplines.
Trails status this weekend:
Sat June 1st: Cantina open after 9am. Trails open at 3pm.
Sun Jun 2nd trails and Cantina open at 3pm
We are hosting our first competitive Texas Trail Challenge Club horseback riding competition. www.texastrailchallengeclub.com

I know we've only met via this board, but I'm so sorry to hear this. Seriously, if you need anything, please let us know. Even just a home-cooked meal ( if you trust us) :). We'll be praying for ya!
Soft muddy trails even with the afternoon sunshine.
I'd give it a day or two and the hero dirt will appear! Our Wednesday group ride is cancelled but we will do an urban ride from the shop instead.
