  1. I recently upgraded my entry level 1 1/8 straight steerer, QR 10mm fork to a Manitou Markhor. It's available in a variety of configurations of wheel size, steerer and axle, usually for less than $300. I have the 27.5, straight steerer and 9mm QR. I have a few rides on it and it's simple but I'm happy with it.

  2. Used pike would work fine. If you find one I have all the parts/tools needed for service.

  3. Made some more progress on project GTFO, and got the front patio stained this week. Going to have the guy back out for some touch up issues and cleaning, but happy overall.

  4. Homer Simpson: There are three ways to do things, the right way, the wrong way, and the Max Power way Marge Simpson: What is the Max Power Way? Homer Simpson: The wrong way, only faster I bring you "The Max Power Dog Trailer Extension": And actually it works. If it works well after out next trip I might actually cut the bottom two pieces. But at this point, I might even push the trailer mount down a notch as it still sits a bit high.

  6. I have a Burley trailer modified for 29er which the wife drove over - most is salvageable. Perhaps the parts would work.

  7. It hadn’t occurred to me that going from a 32 to a 34 fork meant I needed to grind down another socket. I also went ahead and made myself a tool for pushing the innards out. And to work on suspension service I must have a clean bench. Did this while watching Kurne Brussels Kurne (thanks to Austinbike’s old appletv which works well with my 16yo 1080i Sony.)
