I saw the recent c&d had a couple e-bikes show. Throw in the hard sections next week and see how they do. We use skill, strength and power to the ride the technical shit now. E-bikes just change the dynamics.
Winner of the pro class at the last RPR race did the same. He won both the acoustic and ebike class.
Ebikes are going the way of front suspension, rear suspension, big wheels, tubeless, droppers, 1x drivetrains...
Zwifting is awesome and definitely will help improve/maintain fitness, but I spent my money on a quality commuter ebike. It doesn’t provide the structured training as a smart trainer can, but I get to hammer for two hours on my round trip. Besides the increased fitness, my mental state improved and my truck stays parked at home most days.
