  1. At least that's one thing you'll never have to worry about.
  2. Interesting to hear your thoughts on the steeper STA. With that being said, I'd suggest you take a look at one these and see what you think. I was pretty set on buying the 120mm frame and building it up but wanted a steeper STA than 74*. Gets some pretty good reviews, lightweight, takes a 51mm and the geo & price is right. https://intensecycles.com/collections/intense-sniper-trail https://intensecycles.com/collections/frames/products/sniper-sl-frame?variant=12281160761367
  3. Hey, did you buy anything yet? Still waiting for: Shock 29 or 27.5 Wheels 42, 44, 46, 50t drivetrain Lefty rebuild Single speed conversion Wouldn't be a shitpost without your delusions of buying something made this decade. Better hurry.....tic tock
  4. Can confirm this. Usually get 5% additional off for calling and using CC vs PP. Bought my wife's carbon frame for almost $1k off MSRP. Jenson is awesome to deal with.
  5. Seriously, dont sweat the offset right now. Find the frame you want and go from there. The last 2-3 forks I built were basically from scratch buying steerers, legs, dampers, and airshafts separately. It's an easy swap to make if you ever decide to do so. Plus pike steerers are super cheap comparatively. I've had 100-135mm 29er trailbikes and IMHO, a 120ish mm is the sweet spot for around here. Anything less is tough to get the rear suspension dialed since there's such a small amount of travel, and more just feels like overkill for general use.
  6. Maybe we could all pitch in and banish RA to his own website. It'd be an echo chamber of kankles and calf socks all to himself.
  7. Crammed into a plane in Pittsburgh and that just made me LoL. Awesome
  8. Worst case, you change the steerer to a 42mm and sell that one. It's super easy to do.
  9. "Can" How is it optimized? I'd look at the geo numbers and see if anything vastly different than a modern bike with 51mm offset
  10. Offset preferences are all subjective. I've run 51-37mm offsets and prefer the shorter stuff, but that's just me. IMHO, if you've never ridden one, I wouldn't sweat it. Stick with your 51mm. The frames are not specific to offset so you can do whatever.
  11. Saw it at the syndicate truck during DH event this weekend. Also a lot of the SC support staff was also riding them. Should have taken some pics but there was a lot going on around them during the races. In CTX, i'd be down for one over a HT for sure.
  12. Saw the new tallboy Saturday and it looks pretty freaking sweet.
  13. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  14. Only an individual as delusional about their existence as yourself couldn't see the irony of offering business advice to someone. It's like going to a gym and the staff & trainers are overweight. Besides, isn't it Sunday? Shouldn't you be trolling confession booths for new "friends"? And it's two, not "too".
  15. Also imagine being in your f*cking 50s and behaving like this.
  16. For the back, I'd run an aggressor, ikon or at worst rekon. I currently run a griffin on the back and a dhf to steer on my xc bike. The extra 150-200 grams is worth the peace of mind. Don't get me wrong, tired like the nobby nic is actually a pretty good all around tire until it isn't, and washes out. In places like ATX probably won't be an issue. The new HD2.0 is actually pretty nice and has found a place on the front of my wife's 29er. All my schwalbe have been evo snakeskin or whatever they are called now so tubeless was never an issue.
  17. Yes and yes. Waiting for women's finals now. Track is insane
  18. I have a box full of nearly new 29" schwalbe tires that I don't use. Pretty sure I have a HD that I'll just give you. Switched back to maxxis a year ago and won't buy anything else.
  19. Shitpost 101: Post a lot of questions about stuff you'll never buy.
