  1. My first mountain bike was a Schwinn High Sierra. Schwinn got pretty much gutted when they started having Giant manufacture bikes for them. I will say that a custom Waterford is a beautiful road bike.

Looks like it should be a nice bike workshop. If you get my drift.
  3. I had a ticking coming from bike two or three rides after building it. I thought it was the left side pedal or BB because it would click under load when climbing. Turned out to be the seat post, not enough grease when I assembled the bike. Noises drive me nuts! I hate it when my bike isn't quite and I have to trouble shoot where noise is coming from. Carbon frames amplify all sounds making it even more annoying.
  4. When I was 11 years old I had a Typhoon to deliver news papers. It had the horn tank and front and rear racks. The bike was a tank itself. Had to be 40#.
  5. It's a Wilier Pontevecchio in the Italian flag colors. This one. It's a 53cm frame. Basically a medium.
  6. I have a hipster single speed I'd sell. I would guess you're looking for an MTB though.
  7. All the time! Can't get Maxxis tires on my rims without a lever. These are the ones. Pedro's Super strong.
  8. I've had my Nextie AM30 rims a few years now. They've been on two different hubs on two different bikes. They have taken a good amount of abuse and have plenty of scars to prove it. They only saved like 160gms overall so not much lighter than the XM481's I had. But I will say that when I relaced them to a set of boost hubs they built up just like they were new. Carbon maintains it's trueness unlike aluminum, aluminum shows it's age when you relace them. Aluminum doesn't tension up the same way after being used for a couple of years.
  9. Nice! Love the '67 nova body. Had a '70 SS as my first car.
  10. Saw Al DiMeola live when I was younger. Fantastic guitarist.
  11. Saw this guy open for Joe Satriani. Amazing guitarist.
  12. You can also use a toe clip strap to keep the tire place.
  13. It amazes me that we have made it this far as a species.
  14. I've have to use a Pedro's tire lever on every wheel I've installed on my Chinese carbon rims. There is absolutely no way I can get the tire on without it. I don't think it's a poor design of the tire or rim. Tubeless is awesome for its reliability but I think that manufacturers design tubeless rims and tires with tighter tolerances. When I use the tire lever to mount the tire I slide the lever hook side down under the tire bead catch the rim lip and pry it over. Never damaged a carbon rim yet. What rims are those? Considering the damage is on the inner wall of the rim I wound't be too concerned like @teamsloan mentioned I'd gorilla tape it and go about my day. Those rims are going to see a lot worse than a tire lever here in Centex.
  15. Getting it pretty good here in Cedar Park. Quick everyone go buy a fat bike!
  16. For me it's more about composition. The music needs to have some complexity to it to get my interest. Not to say that I don't like simpler stuff but music that is complex is my go to. Big Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin fan from a kid. There are quite a few metal bands that are musically complex Lamb Of God, Between The Buried And Me, Mastadon. Unfortunately once they go to that guttural screaming I lose interest quickly. Was never into the Hair band stuff a bit too corny and better musicians had already done that schtick David Bowie being one of the first. Huge Tool fan along with APC and Puscifer. There really aren't many bands making good progressive music anymore. Conceptual albums are a thing of the past thanks to streaming media services, people just buy the one song they like instead of an entire album. I also enjoy good guitarists of course Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and my all time favorite David Gilmour.
  17. Yep. It's between Rays Collarbone and Satellite.
