  1. Real tips! I’ll be on the Banshee, maybe with 26+ tires (2.5 rear and 2.8 front). It’s all DH, so I don’t even know if fat tires will be an advantage. Maybe my 27.5 x 2.35s would cut into the snow better?
  2. My snow radness resume. 885BEADD-362E-49D5-8064-CAF581314C65.mov
  3. Red and blue speed skating skin suit? Yes, yes I do. Or as my kids like to call it, my "Super Suit."
  4. I'll just happen to be in Angel Fire on 3/24 and might have just registered for this: Anyone have any tips? I'd like it to go like this:
  5. Speaking of GOAT TRAIL, does anyone remember riding the super-sketch goat trails at the rifle range on Hamilton Pool. Probably late 80's - early 90's. That was NOT purpose built MTB trail. The old man that lived in the bunker there would take our $5, wait for us to ride behind the berm, then open up with a 1911. I remember one trail that hugged a downhill fenceline and then 90* turned at the bottom. You'd either catch the fence on the side or on the bottom. Those were fun trails, but I always had the feeling that if we died out there, no one would know about it for months.
  6. If J was still here, i assure you that a tandem would have been down SM by now. I'd be "stoked" to try it.
  7. Cody, what are the dimensions on that tandem? I know you and Sherpa fit on it, but would me and a diminutive 12 year old? She's like 4'7" and railing an XS 26er.
  8. This is happening the last day of our ski trip. Anyone have a fattie I can borrow?
  9. This is happening the last day of our ski trip in Angel Fire in 2 weeks. If you're registered for the race, you get a pre-ride after the lifts close on Friday and then the race is Saturday afternoon, after the lifts close. I'm debating on carrying my bike up there for 2 runs or trying to bum one off of the couple of locals I know up there (hint.....hint, Paul and Clay).
  10. What's the best place to get on Peddler's Pass? Asking for a friend with kids..... I've been looking at the CalTopo map. Just north of the baseball fields? Sorry, I live in Spicewood.
  11. Fact! I am just soliciting input from the lycra crowd. We don't have to listen.😁
  12. T That might be fun on Saturday for a time trial bonus or something, but it would be an officiating nightmare on race day. I love it.
  13. We care a little bit about non-locals, but ARR does present the race for y'all. I will make no promises on what the race route will be, but would appreciate input. The primary considerations from our (promoter/organizer) perspective are: rider safety (evac and comm are really bad on Croton/SCroton), comm (tower repeater at the Well), evac (fire breaks built by the county have helped), rider fun, road closures, and spectator friendly.
  14. I work near Mueller. PM your digits (and your real name.....i forget).
  15. I've even seen a couple of MeatWeapons race on a tandem at PB and beat Weaver! I've got a nice framed photo of the pair in the dining room. 2 doods on tandem were awarded the #69 number plate, oddly.
  16. You going to sell me this summbich or what?
  17. Those torrid summers continued through high school and I entered the local university already feeling worldly and experienced. I dove into my studies, but quickly became diverted by those of the fairer gender. One particularly enticing history grad student lured me into a continuous learning binge on pleasing a woman. What started as a simple seduction of a younger man, turned into post graduate level education on freakiness. This demure teaching assistant had dreams of taking her boy toy to France to further study revolutionary history and be physically satisfied on an hourly basis. I learned so much about oils, fragrances, mood music, the subtle differences in lingerie that it was very difficult to break free from her grasp. Once I saw her intent for a long term relationship, I tried and tried to escape her clutches, but her ongoing regimen of kegel exercises wouldn't release me from her spell. As the summer of her European studies trip neared, I broke up with her several times. Each time, I'd return, having not yet received my advanced degree in female arousal. She left for France without me and we both moved on. I still see her around town and we both have to resist the rare earth magnetic attraction that brought us together all those sultry nights. We're both married to different partners now, but I do believe our spouses benefit from my studies "abroad." .....to be continued.
